Is it okay to smoke while you have pneumonia?

Is it actually okay to smoke if you're dealing with pneumonia? If anyone out there has some insight on this, please let me know...

So, maybe having pneumonia could be a legitimate excuse to finally kick the habit?
I mean, once you're back on your feet, you might realize you actually managed to go a while without a cigarette, and then you just keep it going. Boom. You're a non-smoker!
But then again, maybe you should just light one up... I heard rumors that smoking actually helps pneumonia clear up faster... though if you're going to do it, you might as well go with a pack of Marlboro Reds!!

Look, kid, smoking is a death sentence all by itself. Now imagine doing it when your lungs are already compromised—all it takes is one tiny trigger, one single cell mutating into something malignant that starts multiplying and running wild through your system.

My cousin’s husband went through this. He caught pneumonia, was a heavy smoker, and instead of quitting, he just kept lighting up like nothing happened. A few months later, he ended up at Mayo Clinic and died within four months of his diagnosis. He was blind, had metastases in his brain, liver, and bones, and was in absolute agony.

Dammit, man, you know the risks. If you're going to keep messing with your health, do it consciously, but don't come crying to me later when it catches up to you.😉

p.s. His name was Jordan, he was only 40 when he passed, and he was a terrible human being.

Just use some common sense... if you have pneumonia, you shouldn't even be breathing too hard, let alone smoking.
