Looks like I'm getting a 405 Method Not Allowed when I try to hit /newreply.py... idk, maybe the site is just broken?

I guess it's just a glitch or whatever... looks like the issue pops up whenever you put two slashes // right after each other in a post.
I guess it's looking at it like part of the Python code or something, so it won't let me set those characters. Maybe?
Maybe someone who actually knows Python better could explain why this is happening.

So, I guess once I just stripped out those slashes from the post, it actually went through fine.

So she went ahead and bought another version of Microsoft Office, then tried using that product key to activate the one already on her computer. But yeah, that’s not working. I guess.

If that's how it goes, I guess my question for her is this:
Does that netbook come with another computer or what? I guess./laptop (one that actually has a CD drive)/So... like, is the DVD player plugged directly into the router via Ethernet? I guess. Maybe.
Is there even a cable that lets you plug a MacBook directly into a router? I guess maybe?

If there’s one, the CD's shared on the PC./DVD, then you gotta try sending that disc over the network... I guess./Using a DVD as a network drive... I guess you just pop the Microsoft Office 2007 disc in there and then trigger the install from your netbook. Maybe?

If they don't have it, they probably know someone who does. I guess.

I tend to use those characters in my posts all the time, and I've honestly never run into any issues getting them accepted.

Maybe try running the CD/DVD twice, like CD/DVD.

Obviously there's an issue with this CD/, even just once. 🙂

All these headaches started when the forum migrated to the new server a couple of months ago. It feels like not a single week goes by without someone complaining. I actually got a DM yesterday asking about the exact same thing. Unfortunately, resolving issues on this forum is incredibly slow—if it happens at all. I've pointed out this issue several times over the last few weeks, but there’s zero progress. It's causing massive problems within the Geek Squad subforums. All we can do now is hope it gets fixed soon.

Yeah, apparently that little plus sign on the CD is what's throwing everything off.

The issue arises when you attempt to input anything resembling a Linux/Unix command. For instance, "cd/" qualifies.
