Since this thread is getting a bit old, does anyone have any recent experiences or specific products and techniques they’d recommend? I’ve been vacuuming like crazy, of course, and I even sprayed the bedroom with some Orkin, leaving the windows open for two days to air it out, but I honestly can't tell if it did anything at all. It feels like they're just waiting for me to fall asleep before they start feeding. My cat spends most of his day napping on the balcony and I don't really let him wander in much anymore, but clearly, these little monsters have already claimed the whole apartment for themselves...

They probably laid eggs and just spread everywhere throughout the whole place. You should spray all the floors with Orkin. Get every mattress and upholstered piece of furniture. Wash all the bedding at 60 degrees Celsius. Vacuum everything thoroughly.
Make sure you give the cat a monthly topical treatment.
And honestly, just make sure you aren't dealing with bedbugs instead...

You can grab one of those little wonders at a local pet shop. You just set it on an elevated surface in the room, press it down (kind of like a pressurized aerosol can), step out, close the door, and within a minute or two, it starts spraying... the whole room ends up filled with a fine mist. You shouldn't open the door for about two hours, and then you just need to air it out properly. If I recall correctly, it costs about $50—I think it comes in a pink bottle.
