I know there was already a thread titled "Cloverfield," but apparently everyone is calling it "11-8-08" now—referencing its US release date.

Americans have been tearing through the internet looking for any crumbs left behind by J. J. Abrams and the crew over at Paramount Pictures—sites supposedly packed with cryptic hints about the actual plot. As far as I recall, they pulled a similar stunt during the run of Lost. Just watched the trailer. It’s brilliant. Now I'm actually hooked on the movie and all these little clues they're dropping.

The first one has this puzzle game you have to solve. I managed to crack it and a video started playing, but I got too sucked in and ended up passing out.

The second one is just some blog. Honestly, I can't make heads or tails of it.

J. J. Abrams confirmed those Ethan Haas pages are total fakes 👍—just a massive waste of everyone's time.

Honestly, I would have bet on the latter—you should really check out the Cloverfield thread. It feels like the exact same movie.

Whenever J. J. Abrams is involved........ it’s bound to be something special!

I caught a glimpse of that trailer the other day... honestly, it gave me the creeps! 😬
