How to handle/ignore users

Why on earth can't we just add someone to the ignore list directly from a thread view anymore? You know, by clicking their username and picking an option from the dropdown menu—just like how the "add to friends" option still works? I could have sworn that feature used to be right there!

Secondly, for some totally baffling reason, the system won't let me add user Beta female to my ignore list. I thought maybe it was one of those silly tricks involving a regular space versus a "non-breaking space" (you know, that ASCII code 255 trick using Alt + 255 on the keypad), but nope, that wasn't it. Could it be something to do with American accented characters?

Or is there some hidden limit on how many people you're allowed to have on your ignore list? I currently have nine.

Or—and this is a wild thought—is it because I'm a moderator now, and apparently, we aren't allowed to ignore anyone?

It seems like the moderators don't actually have the ability to add users to an ignore list. 😉

Also, I’ve confirmed that the forum won't let you block anyone whose name includes special American characters. 😉 😬

I honestly think it all comes down to the quota. Every user gets a specific limit on how many entries they can add to their ignore list, and it looks like 🤣 🤣

A 9-person limit? Yeah, right. I doubt that.

The truth is, this isn't the first time the forum has glitched out whenever someone tries to add a friend or block someone.
The admins really need to get their act together and fix this mess.

And btw—being a moderator doesn't give you some kind of magic pass to bypass bugs.
