Apologies if this topic has already been covered; I did a quick search and didn't see anything. If I missed it, a mod can just delete this. 🙂

So, like the title says, I’m looking to know what the actual symptoms of clinical depression are—the kind where you really need to go see a professional. Also, if anyone knows the most common treatment methods or who the best person to contact would be, let me know.

I’ve been wondering about this too... lately, I’ve been feeling so incredibly down that it’s getting hard to even function. There are days when I just can’t find the energy to get out of bed or handle basic things—you know, like actually washing my hair and leaving the house... it’s reached a point where I’m thinking maybe I should go see a doctor. 👎
P.S. Actually, maybe this topic is more suited for a psychologist...

Check out this link.
Your primary care doctor would usually be the first stop to get a referral to a psychologist,
though they might try starting with some mild medication to help ease things first.

So, we’re talking about that total downward spiral—you know, that heavy, soul-crushing low mood where you just can't find the energy to even exist? It's like everything loses its spark—no interest in anything you used to love, zero drive, just a massive hit to your self-esteem where you start feeling basically worthless. And then there's the dark stuff—those intrusive, constant thoughts about death or wanting out—plus the brain fog that makes it impossible to focus or remember what you had for breakfast, not to mention the sleep situation being completely trashed. If this kind of funk sticks around for at least two weeks, or maybe even a month if it's really dragging on... yeah, that's the territory we're looking at.

Look, if things have actually gotten that bad? Seriously—go talk to a psychiatrist. Just get some professional help.
Hey there! What's up?
