It likely starts way back in early childhood, when moms react to every little cry by shoving a pacifier into the kid's mouth. 😁
I don't know if you've ever dealt with being overweight yourself, but let me tell you, it can be a brutal, messy fight—mostly against your own head.
I honestly have so much respect for people who manage to drop significant weight; more often than not, they show way more strength of character than anyone else ever could. 🙂
I was pretty chubby growing up, so I can tell you firsthand that wrestling with those extra pounds isn't just "not easy"—it's a nightmare.
People look at weight gain and act like it's some simple math problem: "Oh, just fix your diet, hit the gym, and boom, results!" But it doesn't work like that at all...
For people who struggle with weight (and I'm not talking about those dealing with hormonal issues or pure genetics), there's a much deeper issue at play. It manifests as this constant urge to just shovel food into your face, creating this endless, vicious cycle that's incredibly hard to break... though it is possible.
I actually mentioned to the OP above that they should definitely sit down with a therapist, because carrying that extra weight leaves deep scars on your psyche, especially when you're young.
