Oh, come on, Amanda Hughes5, don't tell me that after ten years and nearly 10,000 posts you still haven't figured out how to delete a post when you mess something up.

I honestly have no clue 🤣 seriously... I’ve never even looked for the 😉
option 🤷 but man, this would be perfect for me...

btw... there's been plenty of activity here for over 10 years, I just changed my handle 🙂

You can't do it through the Reddit app, but if you jump onto the web version, you can hit the edit options within an hour or so after posting.

How on earth is it not working on Reddit?

Look, you can't actually delete them entirely—you can only edit them. Unless I’m totally losing it and the option is being hidden from me for some reason. Honestly, it shouldn't be a huge deal since you can just open the post in a browser and wipe it from there if you really need to, but I haven't seen a direct way to do it within Reddit itself.

I am also experiencing the same inability to access Reddit on my iOS device, and I encountered the exact same issue previously while using Android.

Here is the procedure for deleting a post using Reddit (specifically for iOS users, though the process on Android might vary slightly, it should still work)

But it just won't work through Reddit. I’m positive the delete function used to be available here.
However, you can always switch over to the web view to get it done.

I’ll migrate all of this over to the Help section tonight, and in the meantime, I'll post some screenshots there showing exactly how to handle deletions via the web view.
