It feels a little weird, but I just couldn't find it in the movie list πŸ˜• so I'm starting this thread in case it's actually missing. Otherwise, feel free to delete this if there's already another topic for it.

Personally, I think this is one of the most brilliant Bessonov films. It’s basically high-quality schlock! 😁

Oh, absolutely, the film is such a brilliant piece of postmodern sci-fi fun. I mean, what other movie lets you watch a blue alien perform what basically amounts to a techno-opera... :-)

Milla Jovovich stars in this oneβ€”she's got that whole mixed heritage thing going on, sort of a blend of Mexico and Ukraine πŸ˜‰

It’s a total masterpiece, plain and simple. For me, it stands as one of those truly high-quality filmsβ€”it's just brilliant...

An absolutely fantastic filmβ€”pure entertainment from start to finish πŸ™πŸ™

Milla Jovovich is such a brilliant actressβ€”she probably outshines most Hollywood stars by a long shot πŸ™πŸ™ And Bruce Willis? He's just the man πŸ™

Look, let's be real about this film.
The villain's code...
The hero and heroine law...
Labor laws, huh? Or should I say... editor, reporter, what exactly are we talking about here?

I actually think the concept behind the movie is pretty solid. Having a person function as the Fifth Element? That’s a cool idea. 😁
I’d give the Diva Dance from Plavalaguna a perfect 5 out of 5.

A damn good film. Fun plot, killer soundtrack, witty banter over the comms, sharp humor, solid directing, and pure entertainment from start to finish...
I’ve probably lost count of how many times I've watched this since I picked up the DVD. 😁But honestly, the best part is those ridiculous dialogues. Just brilliant...

Aknot: You asked for a case, we brought you a case.
Zorg: A case with FOUR STONES in it! Not one or two or three, but four! Four stones! What the hell am I supposed to do with an empty case?
Aknot: We are warriors, not merchants.
Zorg: But you can still count! Look, it's easy. Look at my fingers: four stones, four crates. Zero stones? ZERO CRATES!

Father Cornelius and Ruby Rhod see The bomb Stuck to The door ] Priest Vito Cornelius: You're a monster, Zorg.
Zorg: I know.

Father Cornelius and Ruby Rhod see The bomb Stuck to The door ] Priest Vito Cornelius: What are you doing?
Korben Dallas: Trying to save your ass so you can save the world.

[Father Cornelius and Ruby Rhod see The bomb Stuck to The door ]
Father Cornelius and Ruby Rhod see The bomb Stuck to The door ] Priest Vito Cornelius: It's a - it's a - it's a - it's a - it's a - it's a...
Ruby Rhod: No no no no no no. 'Cuz if it was a bomb, the alarms would go off 'cuz all these hotels have bomb detectors, right?
[the alarms sound]

Korben Dallas: What's your name?
Leeloo: Leeloo.
Korben Dallas: Good. That... that whole thing's your name, huh? Do you have, uh... a shorter name?
Leeloo: Leeloo.

Of course, the game isn't nearly as good, dammit.

all she actually does in The Fifth Element is make those ridiculous faces... whenever I see Milla Jovovich is cast in a film, I avoid it like the plague, because she can't act, and honestly, she isn't even that stunning to look at...

For me, the best part of the film is definitely the gadgetsβ€”especially all that gear Milla Jovovich uses. Man, if I just had that Chanel makeup kit... my life would be set.😁
The movie is pure entertainment from start to finish.
The highlight for me has to be that junk dealer ringing Bruce Willis's doorbell while wearing that spy-cam perspective headband. Absolutely brilliant. 😁😁😁

That scene where the junk dealer rings Bruce Willis's doorbell while wearing that spy camera hat? Absolutely brilliant... 😁😁😁

And that bit where the guy disguised as a Black man has a cockroach spy cam, only for the President to take off his shoe and crush him with it... hilarious. πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚

The track from Plavalaguna can actually be found on those high school music appreciation CDs. 😁 It kicks off with Gaetano Donizetti's aria "Lucia di Lammermoor" β€” specifically "Il dolce suono" β€” before morphing into that final mix known as The Diva Dance, which was composed by Eric Serra. πŸ™‚
And honestly, the coolest bit about the special edition The Fifth Element is the claim that the singer's voice wasn't digitally alteredβ€”that she performed it all herself. Now, mind you, the actress playing Plavalaguna didn't actually sing it; they just layered Inva Mula's vocals over her. Even though it sounds absolutely impossible, this one Canadian, Marie-Ève Munger, actually performed the entire Diva Dance live in front of an audience, and she nailed it. πŸ™

A film featuring Gary Oldman as a villain obsessed with destroying the world and Ian Holm playing a saintly priest trying to save it just can't be bad. I mean, come on. πŸ™

Man, if only I could be like one of those two back in the day... though maybe... πŸ€” (Gary Oldman....girls totally dig Gary Oldman 😁)

Honestly, thoughβ€”it was actually my first time ever sitting down to watch The Fifth Element recently. A classmate of mine wouldn't even believe me when I told him I'd never seen it before. 😬

Yeah, I still have those CDs lying around; I must have listened to them a thousand times! That’s the kind of stuff they actually make you learn in American high school music class... 😁 Honestly, props to you!πŸ‘
