Chicago Blackhawks fans

Has anyone actually sat down and watched this movie yet?
I finished it about ninety minutes ago, and I find myself compelled to say it was quite impressive; while I would argue that Elijah Wood wasn't necessarily the most inspired casting choice for the role, one certainly cannot claim he made a fool of himself. It seems to me that anyone who regularly attends Chicago Blackhawks games and perhaps found themselves in a few scuffles in their younger years would recognize that the film maintains a certain gritty realism. 👍 👍 👍 👍

I find myself quite perplexed as to why there is such a profound silence surrounding this film; perhaps the discussion has already been exhausted elsewhere, or maybe people simply haven't sat through it—or, more likely, they found it so utterly dreadful that they lack the will to even discuss it.😕 😕

It feels like hooligans have only just arrived in our local theaters. I actually saw this film back last year.
I absolutely loved it—honestly, I’ve watched it multiple times...
I'd recommend it to anyone, especially those who couldn't care less about baseball...

Caught this one in a theater a few months back and honestly? Even though it’s a bit naive and leans hard into a few clichés, it actually kept me hooked until the credits rolled. I have to say, though, E. Wood just didn't quite own that role for me...

Makes me feel like maybe I should finally jump into a good old-fashioned baseball brawl myself... 🙂
(Ideally one where nobody ends up in the ER... 🙄 )

A pretty solid flick overall... 👍

The last time I saw this movie, it was years ago. Unless this is some kind of sequel,
I find it hard to believe that it’s only just now hitting theaters here in the States.

Such a killer movie—especially that scene where this boxer just absolutely floors Wood, and then he completely loses his mind...

The film is excellent, such a great atmosphere... definitely much better than Football Factory.☕

😲 The movie was honestly just mediocre. Now, FF? That’s a masterpiece—way more grounded and believable than GSH. In that one, you have twenty-year-olds basically beating up old men, and then you've got Amer, who looks like he’s never even been in a scrap in his life, suddenly turning into some hardened street thug. It just felt totally off to me.👎 It’s your typical Hollywood garbage. They set out to make a film about hooligans, but I’d bet anything they didn't even bother to grasp the basic rules of football.😬

The only thing they actually nailed was the wardrobe.

It’s true, believing that bit about Elijah Wood is just being naive... and honestly, the casting in FF was much more spot on...

But the vibe in GSH feels way better, and most importantly—the script is actually superior... they really messed up those hallucinations in FF 🙄, you know, that whole thing with the two old men and stuff 😁

Plus, they didn't even show up at the stadium once 🤮

I honestly think that’s exactly what the whole movie is getting at. It isn't really about the sport itself; it's more about how a big game serves as the perfect excuse for a great time out with friends. 😬

Perhaps that is why I prefer the hooligans more? There are chanting songs in the pub, you grow to love the club, and then the violence finally arrives...

Even so, there are parts of FF that are 🙏, and a few good characters are 😁

Honestly, it was pretty hilarious watching Frodo just tearing up, drinking and partying with the rest of the hooligans. All we need now is Gandalf storming onto the field during a Yankees-Red Sox game!
