Pain and discomfort during sex: Has anyone else dealt with this?

I’m starting this thread because I need some answers.
Here is the situation. Lately, I’ve noticed that certain positions during sex have become incredibly uncomfortable. Specifically, when we are doing missionary, the penetration causes such sharp pain that I have to stop immediately. This isn't a new issue; everything used to be perfectly fine before. On top of that, I sometimes feel pain in my spleen or ovaries during intercourse. I am looking for your experiences because I honestly have no idea how to handle this. It is strange because in other positions, everything feels normal and we can go as long as we want. I don't get what the issue is. HELP.

I deal with this specific issue occasionally, though it isn't a constant occurrence.🙂 On one particular occasion, the sensation was so intense during intimacy that I found myself at my OB-GYN the very next day; she explained that it was simply a sign that I was ovulating and that everything was functioning perfectly—essentially, the body's way of signaling its readiness.
Now, whenever that distinct ache resurfaces, I make sure to stay vigilant, because if I don't... well, let's just say I have two kids at home now, so I know exactly what those signals can lead to.

While this thread is busy spiraling into a heated debate 😬, I would strongly suggest you head over to your gynecologist for a proper checkup; while what you're experiencing might be nothing more than a minor annoyance, it could also signal something far more significant... in my experience, chlamydia can actually cause quite a bit of discomfort when it takes hold.

When it comes to something like Chlamydia, a standard Pap smear isn't going to give you a definitive answer; you need specific, targeted testing to catch it. Honestly, rather than wading through a sea of anonymous opinions on a forum, I think it would be much more efficient to just get a straight answer from a specialist at the Mayo Clinic. 😁

I also forgot to mention that my boyfriend is pretty well-endowed, both in length and girth. Because of that, quickies are almost never an option for us, which I’ve started thinking might actually be part of the issue
