How do I upload images and videos to the forum?

Hello, everyone.
I’m new here, and I’ve already run into a bit of a snag.
I tried uploading an image, but now instead of seeing the actual pictures, I'm just staring at a bunch of links. How do I fix this so the images actually show up? Also, does anyone know the right way to embed them properly? This is the site I've been using for my uploads:

Is there any way I can resize an image so I don't have to download it to my PC and then upload it to some hosting site?

So, this photo of Tyra Banks was added directly—just right-click on the image, copy the image address, and paste it under the image icon.

This one isn't too huge, it's right on the edge, but larger files always give me trouble.

...all of them are asking for some kind of payment that I’m just not ready to drop right now. Like, if you want to pay on a monthly basis, fine—that's what they advertise initially. But then they say: "It'll only cost you $4 a month (beginner tier)," so you click okay, and suddenly the only option they give you is to pay for the whole year upfront. That's way too much money to dump at once for me..

How do I actually post images? It's my eternal struggle on here..

Is there any other way besides uploading everything to a site and then using the img tag to embed it?

As far as I can tell, there isn't any other way to do it. It’s incredibly frustrating, honestly; whenever I need to attach an image, I just grab my phone, fire up Reddit, hit edit on the post, and upload the photo directly from the device. Apparently, Reddit handles its own internal hosting within the app itself.

Reddit is driving me nuts too... it worked for a bit, then just completely quit on me.

I tried using Google Photos—you know, since it's supposed to be free—but I can't get a single photo to actually upload.

Man... trying to upload anything lately feels like Mission Impossible. 😠
