How to prevent eye strain while working at a computer

Does anyone know if those blue light glasses actually work to protect your eyes from screen glare? If they do, where's the best place to pick up a pair?

Just two months ago, I finally went out and got some prescription glasses—decided to go all out and pick up the most expensive lenses they had, costing about $183 each.

Apparently, they come with these special filters designed to block out blue light radiation.
I’m really hoping it makes a difference, considering how much time I spend glued to my computer screen.

The issue we’re all dealing with while staring at our screens might actually be astigmatism. Honestly, before I figured that out, I couldn't even look at a monitor without my eyes burning and watering constantly...

Just drop your monitor resolution a notch and crank that refresh rate up to 100Hz—problem solved, pretty much.

I spent a long time working at 85 Hz without any eye strain, so now that I've bumped it up to 100Hz, I’m hoping it stays just as easy on the eyes moving forward.

Hey there!
Would you mind telling me exactly which optical shop you went to for those lenses? My ophthalmologist specifically recommended Superman, claiming they're the only ones that really work, but I haven't been able to track them down anywhere.
I checked a place in the downtown area, but they didn't have them in stock. Maybe I was looking in the wrong spot? 🙂

I’ve got a pair myself and they definitely make a difference... my eyes don't feel fried by the end of the day. I used to pull 10-hour shifts glued to a computer at work, plus another five at home, and it was a lifesaver.
