Lately, I’ve been dealing with these strange "episodes"—I don’t even know how to put a finger on them. It’s this sudden, internal fluttering—as if my entire body is vibrating from the inside out—coupled with this nagging sense of weakness and instability because, let’s face it, feeling like you’re vibrating internally is unsettling. There isn't any outward shaking; my hands aren't trembling, my legs aren't twitching—nothing visible, really. It’s just this... internal jitteriness. I’d describe it as being washed over by some sort of deep-seated nervousness. And then, naturally, I start to panic, which leads to my breathing getting all short and shallow.

Does anyone actually know what these symptoms might point to? Honestly, it all feels a bit ridiculous to talk about since they aren't your typical, textbook symptoms, but I can't help being worried. Is this just pure anxiety—the byproduct of stress—or could it be something else entirely?

It sounds like you might be dealing with stress or anxiety. Take a look at the thread below; there are some detailed descriptions of these issues written in English that might help. If this is becoming a regular thing, please don't dismiss it. Honestly, thinking you shouldn't seek help is the only real mistake here. Maybe try some relaxation techniques first, but if those don't cut it... go see a doctor. Try to keep track of what you're doing—or what you've been doing—that seems to trigger these symptoms.

If you happen to have any of the other symptoms listed below—perhaps—you might want to check your thyroid levels.

Hyperthyroidism is rarely asymptomatic—though it can be in milder cases. Generally speaking, elevated thyroid hormones tend to impact the entire body by accelerating metabolism, which leads to various signs and symptoms. Patients often report:
• nervousness, restlessness, emotional volatility, insomnia, or tremors;
• excessive sweating and heat intolerance;
• rapid heart rate or palpitations—and occasionally arrhythmias;
• blood pressure that is typically moderately elevated;
• frequent bowel movements—and weight loss, despite eating well or even more than usual;
• skin that feels warm, moist, and soft—sometimes accompanied by red palms or patches of vitiligo;
• thinning, silky hair that may fall out—along with brittle nails that peel or break easily;
• difficulty climbing stairs due to weakness in the thigh and upper arm muscles;
• irregular menstrual cycles—such as lighter periods or the complete absence of menstruation;
• in cases of Graves' disease, there is a common finding of exophthalmos—characterized by bulging eyes, infrequent blinking, or difficulty looking upward, which can sometimes lead to blurred vision if the optic nerve is affected.

Thanks for the help. I actually had my thyroid levels checked about a year ago—everything came back perfectly normal—and I have to admit, seeing those symptoms pop up again was a bit of a shock since I’d read quite a bit about them online. Anyway, thanks.
The twitching is acting up again today, and honestly, it's starting to get on my nerves... 😕

Well, I actually went through something remarkably similar... after years of living under a cloud of uncertainty regarding my health, I finally received a definitive diagnosis: mitral valve prolapse. It turns out many of the symptoms I was experiencing overlapped significantly with thyroid issues. In the grand scheme of things, it’s just a minor heart murmur that hasn't caused any major complications yet, but it certainly provides some peace of mind to have an answer.
At the same time, I would strongly suggest that you get your electrolyte levels checked—specifically your magnesium and potassium.

Have you even considered seeing a neurologist? 🙂

I’m actually struggling with everything that user from San Diego mentioned today. It started with this pressure around my eyes, though that passed pretty quickly. After that, I just felt this sudden weakness spreading through my body, all starting from my stomach... I don't have any nausea or actual pain, just this strange sensation in my gut. Maybe it sounds silly, but I don't know how else to put it. And then there’s that internal fluttering sensation too...

It’s a totally weird way to feel—like nothing is physically wrong, yet I don't feel good at all.

Anyone?? Anything at all...

If there isn't an underlying physical issue, then it’s anxiety.

If we set anxiety aside—which I don't think is the issue for me—are these symptoms I mentioned actually cause for concern? In other words, could they be signs of some underlying illness or something more serious?

I felt like I had to jump into this thread because since this morning, I’ve been dealing with all those symptoms mentioned above. I was actually getting ready to head out into town when suddenly everything just started swaying—this weird lightheadedness and that exact fluttering sensation Mark Brooks87 brought up. My legs feel completely unsteady, almost like my whole body is vibrating from the inside out.
Now, I’ve even started feeling some discomfort in my stomach... basically, I just feel woozy, shaky, and unsteady, like I might pass out at any second. It isn't exactly dizziness; it's more like this pressure in my head that creates this sense of instability...

It is absolutely sweltering outside today, with the sun beating down through the clouds. Everyone is complaining about the heat, but I honestly can't tell if what I'm feeling is just the weather, a serious underlying health issue, or simply anxiety and stress, given how overwhelmed and on edge I've been lately...
