Man, I've been smoking since I was fifteen—and I’m still a soprano!

Tinchi said:Occasional smokers often turn into regular smokers. 😉 They probably just light up when they feel a real craving.

People who dabble (like I used to) are mostly just consumers.

😬 👍

I never thought I’d actually say this, but I think I want to become a full-time smoker.🙂 🙂

I’ve been wondering about something—what actually got you guys into smoking, if you even started that way?
What’s the sensation like? Is it just straight-up gross at first until your body somehow adjusts?
Is there even a point to it, or a purpose (if there is one)?
How would you describe that "craving" and what does satisfying it actually feel like?
Do you ever get hit with the fear of lung cancer or heart disease?
Why do people even bother doing this in the first place?

...I’m honestly just a curious soul here, and I’d really appreciate some answers because I definitely don't want to have to figure this out on my own😉...

thanks

😲 damn, that's a lot of questions.
I mean, why don't you just light one up yourself and see for yourself?
I don't really know why I started, but honestly, it never felt bad to me.
If I didn't like it, I wouldn't be doing it. Like, in the morning, before I'm even fully awake, I'll just sit on the edge of my bed and light up...😍 😍 it's a perfect feeling, kind of like right after a big meal...
I don't even know how to compare it. Imagine being on your period and you're dying for something sweet, but there's nothing around, and then you finally find some chocolate and just shovel it into your mouth... you feel reborn.
That's basically what a cigarette is like.
And yeah, I'm scared of all those diseases, but I'll worry about that later.☕

I mean, if I weren't looking at several specific cases where things like lung or throat cancer were caused exclusively by smoking, I wouldn't even be saying anything about this...

Since we already have a dedicated thread covering smoking, the health risks involved, and tips for quitting, I’ve moved the most recent posts from this discussion over to THIS main topic. Thanks for being understanding about the cleanup. 😉
