I need to get this done, so I have a few questions regarding the details..
Can I handle this at a local hospital, or are there other options?
What kind of costs am I looking at?
How large does the stool sample container need to be exactly, and can I pick up those specimen cups at a local pharmacy or somewhere else?

Thanks, everyone. I'm feeling a little anxious about the whole thing..

It’s handled at every local county health clinic; they provide the collection containers, and if my memory serves me right, there isn't even a charge for it. Regarding the sample itself—don't feel pressured to fill the entire container, which holds about 0.5 mL, essentially just one small vial. And there is absolutely no need to stress. You are legally required to complete the sanitary screening within 48 hours of receiving notice that you've been referred.

It’s about $200—give or take—plus you have to get those lung scans done, which run roughly $20. Though, ideally, the company should be footing the bill for all of this.

So, I need to get my health clearance done—you know, the sanitary checkup for people working in cosmetics retail. From what I’ve heard, it’s not nearly as intense as the stuff they make food service workers go through, but still... how much is this gonna run me? And what am I actually looking at in terms of requirements? Like, do I need to book an appointment ahead of time or can I just show up whenever?

Morning... I see this thread is pretty much ancient history at this point, but I really need an answer on something...
Basically, I used to have my health clearance papers and just updated them whenever needed, but back then, my boss always picked up the tab
Now I'm working for this drywall contractor who refuses to pay for it, so I'm paying out of pocket, and I'm wondering who's actually legally responsible for this crap according to labor laws

I’m trying to figure out if I can just head over to the clinic near Union Station for my checkup. My employer handed me this document—basically a referral or some kind of authorization signed by my boss—that covers the cost so I won't have to pay out of pocket. However, the address listed on the paperwork points toward the facility over in the suburbs, and quite frankly, that's way too far for me to trek on foot. I’m not even sure if there's a reliable bus route that goes that way. Will they actually honor this referral at the Union Station location?😢

Hey everyone. Does anyone know exactly where in Washington, D.C. I can go to get this sanitary exam done? My company handed me some sort of "certification" or paperwork—basically just pointing me in a direction—and they're footing the bill for it. I already have my health booklet, so I just need to clear this specific requirement. Do I actually need to make an appointment beforehand, or can I just show up? Also, if there is a number I should call to book a slot, please let me know.
