Lentils: Best ways to cook them?

How long did it take you guys to actually get used to wearing contacts? I really should be wearing GP lenses because my prescription is pretty specific and soft ones just don't work for me. Honestly, going through that adjustment phase is such a hassle; I’ve already had to quit twice after just a few days because my college coursework got too overwhelming. I'm gearing up for attempt number three this Monday.
Is there any real difference between lens solutions? Right now, I'm using Bausch & Lomb. I have two different bottles—one for cleaning and one for storage.

Also, after wearing them for a couple of days, my vision would get incredibly blurry, making it impossible to study, so I had to take breaks. Did anyone else deal with that kind of stuff when they first started?

What exactly would "specific prescription" mean?

I mean, I’m not sure how weird this actually is, but I honestly don't know anyone else who deals with both plus and minus prescriptions in the same eye. Me? Yeah, I’ve got it going on in both eyes. :-) If you crunch the numbers, one eye sits at -0.5 and the other at -1.0, but they’re hitting different angles too. It's a mess.
That’s what I was thinking. I tried wearing cylindrical lenses before, but let me tell you, it didn't help my vision one bit. Now I'm just trying to see if these new treatments actually do anything.
