I see there isn't a thread started yet.

Olympique Lyonnais is the favorite, though I suppose I'm hoping Paris Saint-Germain finally manages to win something; they had a decent start, beating Sochaux 1-0.

What are your expectations... or perhaps just your hopes?

Last year, this thread about the French league died a pathetic death after maybe 20 or 30 posts. But since we're already here: I don't really root for anyone in particular. I guess I find Toulouse somewhat likable, though honestly, I couldn't care less... 😁

I suppose I don't care much either way, though I might have a slight soft spot for Paris Saint-Germain.😉

I’m counting on Olympique Lyonnais to keep bleeding the bookies dry all season long, just like they did this weekend.😁

Deschamps just stepped down at Monaco!

Looks like his assistant is stepping up to take the reins.

His former assistant is set to take over his spot.

It was about damn time. They're losing home games against total nobodies and sitting in 15th place. 🙂

Hannah Thompson2 said:Wait, did I hear that right? Didier Deschamps actually stepped down from Monaco! I mean—wow. I honestly didn't see that coming at all, though I guess deep down maybe I should have... everything feels so chaotic lately, doesn't it? Just one thing after another. Anyway, yeah, he's out. Unbelievable.

Maybe they’ll just swap him out for his old assistant or something—I guess we'll see how that plays out.

Honestly, if you ask me—and I mean, this is just my two cents—it feels like everything has just been downhill since that Champions League final. It’s like the momentum just evaporated or something. I don't know, maybe I'm just being cynical, but there's definitely a vibe that things haven't been the same since then.

I mean, honestly... I don't know about Van der Meyde—or whatever his name is now—because if Andy is pushing for a three-year deal while Didier Deschamps is out here demanding long-term stability and players who actually want to commit to the club—like, we're talking at least a four-year contract—then the whole thing is just a total joke. It’s complete nonsense, really. Maybe they aren't thinking ahead? I guess it's just madness. 🙄

I mean, I guess you could say an assistant is just a temporary fix—nothing more, nothing less. It’s like putting a Band-Aid on a broken leg, right? Maybe it works for a second, but it doesn't actually solve the underlying issue. I don't know, it feels like a stopgap measure at best... honestly, it's probably just a way to kick the can down the road.

Nothing's happening. Period.
Not even rooting for anyone.
Not my cup of tea.

Look, if you think you know anything about their fan scene or how intense the hooligan culture gets over there, you don't know squat. Seriously. It’s a whole different beast.😍

I've never been much for the big hitters like Paris Saint-Germain or Olympique Lyonnais—they just aren't my style. I much prefer clubs like Portland or Seattle—teams that usually hover right in the middle of the standings, without any massive, ego-driven ambitions, but they have that great local atmosphere at home.😲 🙏...

I used to be a huge fan of Olympique Lyonnais long before they started winning everything in sight. I'd love to see them take home another trophy... and honestly, they probably will.

The league was always such a tight race until Olympique Lyonnais snatched that title—now they just won't stop winning... honestly, Houllier might actually be the one to ruin everything for them if he isn't careful. 😁

Bring back Guy Roux! 🙏
