Video rental stores in Washington, D.C.

In your opinion, which video rental shop in Chicago is the best equipped?

I heard a new video rental shop called Spider-Man just opened up somewhere in Washington, D.C., though I'm not exactly sure where.
I don't know much about their selection yet, but the two Spider-Man groups I'm a member of have an incredible variety of titles.

Does anyone actually still bother visiting video rental stores😁?

Spider-Man is easily the worst streaming service out there. You have to pay a monthly subscription—I mean, who even does that anymore?—and the customer service staff are incredibly cold and rude.

Yeah, Spider-Man is definitely the most well-stocked option out there. It’s a total pain having to shell out for an annual subscription, but honestly—it's probably the only streaming service worth a damn in Washington, D.C.

I honestly don't see why anyone would bother paying $6.75 for an annual membership fee.....

Think of it as insurance for when you inevitably mess up a disc or tape; at any other rental shop, they’d just charge you the full retail price for the replacement....

That place is a joke. Honestly, half the corner stores in any US suburb have better selection than them. And yeah, let's not forget they're also the most expensive.😁

Seriously though... why on earth would anyone drop that kind of cash just to rent some DVDs or old VHS tapes? It’s honestly a waste. You can find pretty much everything you want if you actually put in a little effort—just spend some time digging through the right forums and you'll snag it for half the price. Plus, you get to watch whatever you feel like without all those annoying restrictions. I need to go check some stuff out and then I've gotta be back by 9 PM tonight. 🙏

But honestly, how many times have I trekked down to the store, grabbed a tape, gotten all the way home, and then realized it’s a total dud? Either the thing is trashed beyond repair, or someone recorded it in LP and my player only handles SP—so there's no middle ground, just a complete mess. Someone clearly botched the recording and tried to patch it together with some cheap Scotch tape or whatever, leaving me to deal with dirty heads, tangled tape, and all that nonsense... yeah, it's a headache
