The flare idea is alright, but he definitely overdid it. Even France Football wouldn't pick through that many categories. It should just be player of the month, goal of the month, and maybe some "miscellaneous" stuff.

I already made it clear in my first post that this selection would be based on your suggestions.

If you guys are on board, we can stick to a few main categories without all those geographic or league restrictions. We could also rule that you only get one vote per category. If someone tries to pick two players or two teams, only the first one mentioned counts. 😉

And if there's no objection, I’d also suggest a "Best Match" category.

That’s really it. This would include every player, every team, and every match played over the past month, regardless of the country or the competition—clubs and national teams alike. Though, I assume the focus would naturally lean toward Europe, since that's what most of us actually watch.

Oh, and voting hasn't started yet. It would kick off on the 1st of every month and run until a specific date. I suggested the 5th, but that's subject to change. You don't have to wait for me to open it up every month either; whoever feels like it can start the thread. Once the deadline hits, we tally the votes and announce the winners.

We still need to settle on an actual name for the whole thing. 😉

USA:

Best player: Mitu (not sure who else, just going by fan vibes)
Best club: Washington, D.C.
Best coach: Karačić
Best match: Indianapolis vs. Los Angeles Dodgers, 2-2 draw
Best goal: Hrvoje Vukojević playing for Slaven against Zadar, a volley from about 25 yards straight into the top corner! 🙏

I don't really feel like putting together a lineup, or looking at Foreign leagues either. 👋>

Since March isn't even over yet, we aren't starting the voting just now. There's still an international break weekend ahead of us, so we can kick off the first round of voting for this month on April 1st (😁). 😉
