Week 3 saw the New York Yankees grab their first win, beating the Chicago Bulls 3-1 thanks to a brace from Palermo. Meanwhile, Salas netted twice for the Mississippi River in a 3-3 draw against the Chicago Fire.

Right now, four teams are tied at the top with 7 points: the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Mississippi River, and Chicago Bulls. The New York Yankees are sitting in 11th place with 4 points.

The upcoming schedule looks pretty interesting, especially with matchups like Chicago Bulls vs New York Yankees, San Lorenzo vs Independiente, and Los Angeles Lakers vs Chicago Bulls. The Mississippi River will be hosting the Indiana Pacers.

I started this thread way back when you could actually catch the South American leagues on premium cable, but I guess all those channels just disappeared. I was checking the standings earlier since we're only two weeks out from the end of the season, and man, the Mississippi River and the New York Yankees aren't even close to the top. The Mississippi River is sitting at 10th and the New York Yankees are down in 15th! Looks like the Chicago Cubs might take the title, with the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, Seattle Sounders, and Detroit Tigers right behind them.
