Is it possible this is just from the strawberries? I've been eating them like crazy lately... honestly, we were all so shocked when we first noticed this...

Is it really bright red? Maybe skip the strawberries for a few days and see if that helps.

I'm no expert, but I don't think it's anything to do with strawberries. Reddish sperm usually means there's blood in there. It could just be some burst capillaries around the testicles or something. You should probably just call a doctor.

Honestly, I’m telling you, go see a doctor... specifically a urologist.
I mean, seriously, the thought of seeing red in my own semen? No way, man. That’s some straight-up horror movie stuff right there.🙄 🙂

But it isn't bright red like blood... it's more like a white base where you can just barely see a reddish tint... it really isn't deep redlikethis

You really ought to pay close attention to your bathroom habits, too—specifically how you're urinating. Is it happening more often than usual? Is there any strain or difficulty, or maybe a stream that feels a bit shaky or interrupted? Honestly, just get yourself to a doctor as soon as possible! Don't mess around with this kind of stuff.

BUT, I only told the doctor that sometimes my penis just smells a bit fishy.

I guess I was just a little embarrassed...

Look, this kind of stuff happens. It doesn't even matter what you told the doctor. Just head over to the pharmacy and grab those two sterile specimen cups—one for the morning semen sample and one for the urine. I'm pretty sure that's how the standard procedure goes.
The main thing is just being upfront with the urologist about the actual issue. These guys have seen plenty of cases involving gross, foul-smelling samples, so there’s really no reason to feel embarrassed.

It’s definitely some kind of infection—you should probably get that checked out ASAP so you can actually start treatment...

It’s likely just Gardnerella, which is a bacteria that isn't really a big deal, though you'll have to take some antibiotics to clear it up and then you're good. Nothing to worry about; doctors see stuff like this all the time.

So I went back, explained everything to her, and then went to grab the cups. Now I just have to drop off the filled ones on Monday morning.

It was honestly hilarious when she told me I can't do "that" for three days.😂

Just wanted to chime in and say this happened to me about four or five years back too, though I actually had a bit of blood in my semen. I never ended up seeing a doctor because, honestly, I was embarrassed... yeah, I know, huge mistake on my part.
Eventually, everything cleared up, and in the meantime, I got married and we have a beautiful, healthy little girl who’s two now. But lately—over the last few months—I’ve noticed my semen seems kind of watery. I probably wouldn't be sweating it if my wife and I weren't actively trying to conceive again, but we haven't had any luck lately.
Did I permanently wreck my plumbing, or is there still something a urologist can do to fix things?

Of course you’re going to see a doctor—no matter what happens, you aren't just giving up on having a kid..
I mean, there's always IVF...
