Hey everyone, quick favor—does anyone know the actual title of this movie? I can't even remember how we used to refer to it here... just don't be a Menace to South Central While You're Rockin' Em... or something like that

That legendary scene where the guy is sucking her toes and she has some kind of fungus, so he just slathers ketchup on them🙂 Eric Jackson43. Gross.

Seriously, if anyone knows, please help me out

It’s not that deep:

Don't Be a Menace to South Central While You're Rockin'' Em

Doesn't matter much to me—but hey, everyone's got their thing. Enjoy!👋

Here it is on IMDb

To be honest, the movie wasn't even all that great... 🙄

Thanks

Look, the movie is a Cult classic film, but I still need an original title 🙂

weow

Honestly, there are actually people out there who don't even like that Cult classic film

Everyone just looks at me like I’ve lost my mind whenever I say the movie is total garbage

Look, I don't know about you, but I think this is one of the best parodies out there. It's way better than those forced Cult classic films. As a standalone movie? It’s total nonsense, but that's literally what parodies are for. My favorite part has to be when that Toothpick guy is at the party and starts sliding silverware under the table because he's still stuck in that prison mindset. 😁

For me, the best one is "Message!"

To be honest, I never really understood what everyone saw in that movie...🤔

I think I was probably the only kid in my class (back when that film was released 🙄) who didn't crack a smile at a single scene.

Basically, just the Wayans brothers. 👎 🙂

...I honestly never understood what the deal was with that Cult classic film... from what I can tell, kids mostly obsess over it right around middle school or when they start freshman year of high school...

I have to admit, it actually caught me off guard seeing how many kids these days are obsessed with those Black comedies. Especially the ones centered around urban life.
Bad hip-hop definitely played its part in that. 😁

That being said, Don't Be a Menace to South Central While You're Rockin'' Em does actually land some pretty hilarious jokes. Like that bit where the dad ends up being younger than his own son, or that guy who basically flips the script on historical dynamics by doing to white women what had been done to his people for centuries—just kidding, mostly. And honestly, even that mailman popping in right when things get heavy just to shout "Message!" is gold.
Whenever I’m watching a movie or a show that tries to squeeze in a moral lesson, I find myself wishing that guy would just jump onto the screen.

Man, I feel like I’ve really lost all my street cred with you guys now. 😁

Take a break, man, seriously 🙂

And that scene where the crazy white guy is taking out Black people—walking into the corner store? Absolutely wild 😁
🙂

Or when Ashtray grabbed the Dashiki, and that lunatic just clocked him right in the head—idiot, now you’ve gone and kissed everyone at the party!! 🙂 😬
Or her pregnancy and those chaotic kids... 😂

To me, it's one of the solid parodies, no need to overthink it or get all deep 😎

I think you mean "now you've pissed off everyone in the neighborhood."

Bad hip-hop really did its job, I guess. 😁

Nah, you got it wrong. This is probably the only movie out there that actually pokes fun at hip-hop, rap, and all that urban gangster culture. It’s basically the total opposite of every other "urban" flick, and honestly, that’s why it’s pure gold.👍

Could be. But that was a long time ago.😬

Exactly. And what I dig about it is how it actually sticks to its guns. Unlike most other spoofs, it doesn't just jump all over the place. It stays focused on being a parody of Black culture and that specific lifestyle. Most other movies just bounce from one random joke to another—even something like Naked Gun does that.

I was actually just about to start a thread on this, but someone beat me to it...
I’ve seen this Cult classic film at least ten times now. It’s the ultimate movie for hanging out with the guys—those jokes just stick with you forever, especially the part with Lot Dog 🙏 🙏 🙏

That one dialogue is such a legendary moment when that guy just comes flying in:
-MAN...I GOT THESE CHEESEBURGERS MAN......
-I DONT'T WANT ANY CHEESEBURGERS...
-PLEASE...MAN...I'LL SUCK Your DICK.....😬 🙏 🙏
It's honestly perfect...

I’ve always had a soft spot for those types of movies—mostly because of the killer soundtracks, the unfiltered language,😬 and all that specific urban slang like "yo" or "nigga," if you know what I mean.👍

Personally, I thought the movie was fantastic.
The highlight for me was definitely that intense scene where that crazy guy demands her phone number while holding a gun to her head.

just a little HINT for you all: whatever you do, don't ever try watching this one while you're high... because you might actually die from laughing so hard 🤣
