Any real fans of this masterpiece hanging out here? I’ve been playing since FIFA 2001 on my old console, so I’ve got about five years of experience under my belt. Just picked up FIFA 2005 a few days ago and honestly, I’m pleasantly surprised. There’s plenty of new stuff, but it doesn't feel like a massive departure from FIFA 2007 either. Once the initial shock of the new graphics wears off, it's going to be all about deep gameplay and serious tactics.

P.S.: Is it just me, or did this game actually get a hell of a lot harder than the previous ones?

This game is an absolute blast... honestly, it's the only reason I even own an Xbox.

No. You’d need a beast of a graphics card for that. An Xbox runs at roughly 300 MHz, but we're talking about an Xbox here.😎

FIFA is basically just ISS. This new one is absolutely killer. Yeah, it’s a bit tougher, but that actually makes it more interesting...

Just saw a new update in the FIFA shop: they’ve bumped the CPU difficulty up to 6 stars. Honestly, I already struggle enough just trying to beat a Frenchman on 5-star mode, so I can only imagine how much of a nightmare this is going to be. 😁

I prefer FIFA 2008; the gameplay feels a bit faster than FIFA 2004. It’s a shame, though, because they always mess up the AI. You can practically see the goal coming and know exactly how it'll happen, yet there’s nothing you can do to stop it. Only in really rare cases can you actually defend.😁

Look, what kind of game would that even be if the CPU couldn't actually score? There are so many plays where they can't do a single thing to me. It's just...😁

True, but it all boils down to a few patterns you already know by heart. You basically just sit there watching. Plus, they score on you using those exact same tricks.
I got bored fast because the gameplay is way too predictable.

It doesn't matter, it's still way too predictable. I can practically recite every move before they even make it; you just sit there and watch them score. Your players will start losing stamina out of nowhere, too.

My biggest gripe with this new installment is how easy it is to score just by lobbing the ball. Honestly, I can't even argue with that. Hopefully, they actually fix it in FIFA 2008. I’ve always felt those final Japanese releases are the gold standard—they smooth out the stuttering, patch all the bugs, and everything just works perfectly.

Man, Fry, you’re my hero... absolute legend... total icon... you're basically my Jimmy... honestly, you're everything. The only way this gets better is if you ditch this predictable Konami-owned football and actually play some unpredictable FIFA.

Quick tip for all the players out there. First off, don't call it a "little game," just call it a game. And if you want a real football experience, you'd be better off playing on an Xbox. Preferably against a real person who's even more predictable than this virtual one.😉

It would also be great if they actually translated it into English. You always seem to have to wait for FIFA to get a decent English release. But fine, I'm not complaining...

The patch usually drops in a week or two anyway. That part's an easy fix. 😁>

Nice one, Stinger!🙏 I totally get where you're coming from. Honestly, I can't stand it when people call them "little games." It feels so condescending... especially when we're talking about masterpieces like FIFA or even Gran Turismo.
FIFA has been legendary since the PlayStation days, and honestly, every single new release just keeps getting better. As for the people who find FIFA predictable or boring... well, they can always go play TIF instead.😁

I never said the game was bad, just that it’s incredibly predictable.
