Fiorentina's return to Serie A

So, Fiorentina is finally back in Serie A. Honestly, it just makes me so happy because Fiorentina is my absolute favorite club in all of Italy.
In fact, they were playing for that promotion spot against Perugia, and they managed to knock Perugia down into the second division.

I seriously can't believe Perugia screwed me over in my first game in 12 $0.00. I nailed the exact scores for Por-Rus 2-0 and Gre-Spa 1-1, plus three MLB games, but then I missed out on Perugia and all that big money...🙄

Ahh...

I actually root for Verona over in Italy; really hoping they make it up to Serie A next year...

Honestly, it’s a total travesty for Perugia to lose to a side that weak! They didn't even get a penalty (and Vryzas is playing over in Portugal now). I really wish Gaucci would just head out.

I truly believe Serie A is going to be much more competitive with Fiorentina next season. They’ll likely pick up a ton of talent and fight hard for the UEFA Cup (look at Sampdoria!). My only worry is they might have to overhaul almost the entire roster, and in Serie A, that rarely ends well (just look at Como or Ancona).

Yeah, Fiorentina is back, but only because Napoli is on life support. The court started the process for the club's final dissolution today (I'm not sure I could get the exact legal jargon right), and they have one month to find the cash. If they don't, it'll be a repeat of what happened with Fiorentina back in 2002.

Thank goodness, they really made the most of that wake-up call after getting relegated from Serie A. I might just make a trip down to southern Italy next season; it’s always worth catching a Fiorentina match...🙂

Gianfranco Zola still hasn't made up his mind about staying or leaving, especially with all those rumors about him returning to Chelsea FC. But I guess with Claudio Ranieri gone, that's probably off the table now.
A few other quick updates: Rapaica is looking at Livorno and Palermo, Milan Dudán is back at Palermo after his loan at Atalanta, and Bjelanovica wants to head to Messina or Reggina. Crotone, where former star Ivan Jurić plays, ended up in Serie B, joining Arezzo, Catanzaro, and Cesena. Also, Cesena's coach, Cesare Castori, got a three-year ban for hitting an opponent. Pretty wild.

To wrap things up, here's how the lineup looks for the next season in Serie A and Serie B. It seems like Southern Italy is actually holding its own in the top flight this time around.

Just my two cents here... the biggest candidates for relegation are Messina, Livorno, Siena, Cagliari, and Lecce. Meanwhile, looking at the promotion race to the Premier League, I've got my eyes on Empoli, Torino, and Piacenza.

I guess Genoa and Torino are the big favorites here. I wouldn't expect much from Empoli, maybe.

I'm a Genoa fan, so I guess I have to be optimistic by default. But if you follow the transfer market, you'll see that very few teams actually have a squad like this. Plus, Diego Milito is easily the best striker in Serie B.
