AS Monaco

Nobody actually expected them to make it this far, so for them... 👍

Since we’re already talking about dirty plays, it seems like most people either completely missed it or are just pretending they didn't see it, but Ibarra definitely used his hand to score that first Monaco goal at Stamford Bridge... 😳 🙂 The slow-mo replays told the whole story—at least according to what was showing on the Belgian networks. Honestly, whatever. I’m just glad they pulled it off. They won convincingly on aggregate, too, so the English can't really hide behind that "handball" excuse anymore...

AS Monaco just went and conquered Europe in 2004!

Just so I don't jinx them, because you know how much I love following my old-school superstitions...
🙄 )

He wasn't playing with his hands... he was playing with his chest, to be exact...

Let's go, Monaco!...

I’m definitely pulling for AS Monaco here... partly because of Pršo, but mostly because I honestly think they’ve played the most beautiful football through the knockout stages (I hadn't followed them quite this closely before, to be honest), plus I've always had a soft spot for French clubs, though I'll pass on Marseille...

It would be such a dream if the final score ended up 3-2 for Monaco, especially if we got to see Pršo net that deciding goal right in the 90th minute...😁

Here's another one for AS Monaco...

Anyway, can a moderator just start a new thread with a poll and then link this one to it? Is that even possible? 🤔 Though, from what I can tell, we probably don't even need to 😁

Honestly, every single pick I’ve made lately has been an absolute disaster; it’s just one losing streak after another 😢 😁 ,

So, at this point, I’m putting my money on Porto 😁 ...

And while you're at it, have Nicole Kidman pour you some ice-cold Bud Light while Halle Berry smokes for you.😁

He used his hand—specifically his upper arm (the inside part). Like I said, the slow-motion replays make it pretty obvious. It’s no wonder the Chelsea keeper lost his mind. But I guess it doesn't matter anymore... the Superbowl: Kansas City - San Francisco is here!

One more vote for the club from small-town America...

Because of Prša, because they were on the verge of bankruptcy and relegation and now they're one step away from immortality, because money isn't everything (even if Porto isn't exactly a financial powerhouse), and because Porto has already tasted victory in the final—since a squad that puts five past Real and Chelsea in back-to-back games deserves the title for being more aggressive...

And I’m hoping Pršo decides the match, rather than Rom...

Look, we could have gone that route if we wanted to. 😳 😳
My brain is running at about two miles per hour today, so I didn't think of that solution right away, but there’s really no point anyway. You don't exactly need a supercomputer to figure out whether more people are rooting for Monaco or Porto. 😁

Porto has my whole heart.
They’re my guys.

But honestly, this is going to be a hell of a game.
The kind you actually want to watch.

Look, I'm rooting for Porto, but if Monaco pulls it off, I won't complain—I just want to see some actual good football.

Can you believe it, folks? A Super Bowl: Kansas City - San Francisco type matchup, but it's the LP final between Porto and some random Monaco team?!?😕

Awesome!🙂 😉 👍

It’s not just about Pršo when it comes to Monaco. I love their style of play lately; they actually remind me of how Man Utd looked about six or seven years ago. On one hand, you have those pinpoint crosses from players like Rothen and Beckham, and on the other, you get those lightning-fast drives from Guily and Giggs.
My only gripe is that I don't think Pršo gets the respect he deserves. Every time Deschamps makes a substitution, it's obvious who's being pulled off, and honestly, Pršo has played a hundred times better than Morientes up to this point.

You've got those pinpoint crosses coming in (like Rothen and Beckham) mixed with that explosive pace from someone like Guily (Giggs).
My only gripe is that they don't seem to give Prša enough credit. Every time Deschamps makes a sub, you can practically see who's getting yanked off next, and honestly, Prša has played circles around Morientes ten times over by now.

even when Morientes is having an absolute nightmare of a game, he somehow still finds a way to score...

Honestly, I don't give a damn about the Super Bowl. Neither of those teams interests me one bit. If I had to pick, though, I’d much rather see Kansas City take it, simply because Porto—those absolute frauds—managed to knock out Manchester United. They had more luck than actual intelligence in that match, so they might as well pay the price and lose in the final👎
