Personally, I find The Omen franchise slightly better than Rosemary's Baby. But let's be real, The Exorcist is in a league of its own!👎

There’s both the original and the remake out there. I’m dying to watch it, but I can’t decide which version to dive into first. Anyone got any advice?

Personally, I wasn't particularly impressed by Rosemary's Baby. I spent the entire runtime waiting for a payoff that never seemed to arrive; I kept anticipating a climax that just wouldn't materialize. It feels more like a psychological thriller than a true horror film to me.

As for The Omen franchise, you can find them all on torrent sites quite easily—I actually just downloaded them recently. The movie is 👍

That one scene where the wall plate starts rusting right on the guy standing on the stairs and just decapitates him? Absolutely priceless.🙏

Pure cinematic bliss, though I’m still a little fuzzy on the ending—it definitely leaves you itching for a sequel.👍That kid seriously needs to be taken out!

I haven't seen the others yet, just the first one. I'm betting they hold up, but man, that first part is a masterpiece... Pretty sure the remake isn't even in the same league.👍 👍

He needs to be stopped, yeah, but it's already "written" that the kid is coming out of the sea (politics) to take over the world. Gonna go binge the rest and see what happens with the little guy...

Honestly, that movie absolutely terrified me—anything involving the devil just gives me the chills... ufff

Donner's original version of The Omen serves as a perfectly competent studio horror, much like the abundance of such films produced during the 1970s—at one point, they were almost ubiquitous. While certain elements feel somewhat safe or even naive, the film remains an exemplary specimen of its genre. That said, it still sits a tier below heavyweights like Friedkin's The Exorcist, De Palma's Carrie, or Polanski's Rosemary's Baby, which is how it's frequently categorized in these discussions.
