Is anyone actually eating this stuff?
Not me... I find it completely tasteless.

But anyway, back to the main point:
So, the whole idea here is that people have discovered soy contains estrogen hormones, which apparently isn't great for men to go on a soy binge since it can impact fertility.
Since I’m a woman who happens to hate soy, and my boyfriend doesn't eat it either, this doesn't really affect me personally.

The issue, according to researchers out of Harvard, is that soy carries estrogen, and having that present in the system could potentially harm male fertility.

Scientists are warning us that a massive amount of processed foods in America contain soy, and these products often pack more estrogen than any other food item.

Researchers further note that studies have shown excessive soy intake hits hardest at men who are already dealing with sperm quality issues for other reasons.

According to experts, boys who consume high amounts of soy before hitting puberty might face fertility struggles later on, along with an increased risk of structural reproductive issues or even testicular cancer down the road.

I tried those little meat substitutes once, back before I really understood how much soy was actually messing people up. Honestly? It was pretty revolting. I told myself right then, never again... though I have to admit, soy milk isn't half bad. It’s got a decent flavor to it, in a way...

What you're talking about is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to soy. You can find all the other issues here. Soy isn't some "superfood" like those big health brands try to sell you in commercials; it's actually pretty harmful, especially for kids. Don't feed them that junk! 👎

I’m a big fan of soy—and yeah, I eat it too.

Usually breaded or tossed in a good goulash. If it’s done right, most people won't even realize it isn't meat.

That is, assuming you're sticking to organic soy rather than that highly processed "fake" stuff.

Here's the link, since it looks like we're already sharing links now. 😉

It’s funny how they constantly market it as this staple of a "healthy diet," but honestly, it isn't healthy at all, and it can actually be pretty damaging, especially for kids... I'd say skip that junk entirely 👎

exactly...

It might be fine if you’re eating tiny amounts here and there, but given how much people consume these days under the guise of "wellness"—especially the highly processed stuff—it can definitely do more harm than good. Even regardless of whether it's GMO or not, the processing strips out fats that end up being used in massive concentrations for things like vegan cheeses, milk alternatives, and other soy derivatives, which just isn't great for you...

It’s particularly risky for babies... some soy-based baby foods can have five times the estrogen levels found in a birth control pill, which is basically like giving a child five pills at once... it's no wonder we see so many kids struggling with weight issues lately because of it

If you really want to include soy in a healthy way, just steam the whole beans and eat them straight from the pod... it tastes much better that way, and the fat ratios and nutrients stay much more balanced
