Looks like we’re heading into a season with some of the ugliest cars I've seen in the last 15 years or so. Honestly, what even is this?

Well, you know what they say: save the best laugh for last.
A lot of people were mocking Williams when those first photos surfaced. But once the FW26 actually hit the track, all that laughing pretty much stopped...

It isn't ugly at all... neither the Ford Mustang nor the Williams (it's just different, and frankly, better 🙂)

Renault's New formula One Car fed The masses in Sicily on Thursday.

Team boss Flavio Briatore had his driver, Fernando Alonso, jump into The sparkling-new R24 to perform some celebratory doughnuts right on the pavement.

It didn't exactly go according to plan—the engine stalled out on him.

It was pure chaos; Fernando had to scramble out of the cockpit just as the crowd descended—hundreds of fans swarming the car, desperate to grab any piece of aero-tech they could get their hands on.

The New York Times reported that even Briatore ended up ducking behind a police officer while the mechanics scrambled to shield the car from the mob.

"We can get a bit too caught up in the technical side sometimes. We really need to connect with the fans," Briatore remarked, right before he told Fernando to take the R24 to The crowds in Palermo.

Before things went sideways, he noted: "Bernie is watching this closely—he wants to find ways to bring these drivers directly to the people."

I mean, personally, I think it looks pretty slick... kind of innovative, I guess 😁

So, we’ve got a brand new ride.
Give me a break.
At this point, I’m genuinely setting my sights on a third-place finish by the end of the season.

There's a massive spread in today's USA Today all about the new Ford Taurus.
But honestly, what really caught my eye was the headline itself:🙂

Why settle for third? I actually think they’ll be right in the thick of the title fight this season.

I mean, I’m just looking at this from a distance, so if we manage to catch even a little bit more than expected, that would be a huge win.🙂

I was watching this car show on NBC earlier today, and it wrapped up with a segment from Balzick about Formula 1. It seemed like they were trying to set the stage for the upcoming season.
I have to say, though, the guy completely glossed over General Motors, even though we’ve been sitting in fourth place for two seasons running. Instead, he spent an absurd amount of time dissecting half the backmarker teams. So, there you have it—that's a glimpse into Balzick's supposed "expertise" regarding the current state of Formula 1.

And who exactly is supposed to be trailing General Motors? WilliamsBMW, McLaren Mercedes, or maybe even Ferrari??😕

I’m calling it now: General Motors is gonna blow past McLaren right out of the gate. Honestly, even Ferrari and Williams are going to be sweating bullets trying to keep up with them all season long...

I truly believe General Motors has the potential to build a car that dominates Formula 1 entirely, rather than just settling for third place. The real question, though, is whether they’ve already managed to pull it all together for this current season, or if we’re going to be stuck waiting for a season or two before we see that peak performance.
We certainly shouldn't lose sight of the fact that back in the nineties, the Formula 1 champion drove for General Motors for six consecutive years.

Sure, Williams-Renault had those days, but they were running turbo engines back then. Things are completely different today... 👋

Look, it’s going to be a solid General Motors car—they're practically a lock for 4th place. Honestly, Ford and Toyota are miles behind them!🙂
