Hey guys—anyone got some solid advice on how to stop biting my nails?? I feel like I've been doing this since I was a kid, and honestly, I really need to quit now that I'm 22—it’s just getting embarrassing. I've tried to kick the habit a hundred times already, but I'll make it through two weeks and then end up right back where I started... does anyone know of an actual effective polish or something to make them taste gross?

I heard there’s this cream you can pick up—you just rub it on your hands and it basically makes you lose interest in whatever you're doing. Might be worth asking around at a CVS or a local Walgreens...

There’s creams, there are gels, there are even sprays out there, but I honestly can't remember the specific names. You should probably just head down to a CVS or Walgreens and ask the pharmacist...
In a pinch, though—old-school home remedies: try some black pepper. 😁

I really need to get my nails done for an upcoming gala... but honestly, my current manicure is a complete DISASTER! I was thinking about getting a gel set, but then I heard all those horror stories about how if you don't maintain them perfectly, your nails just end up brittle, cracked, and totally ruined. What should I even do here? 😕🤷 🤷

Most of the time, those spots point toward a zinc deficiency... if you’re eating enough meat and eggs, you shouldn't be running into this issue—unless, of course, you're having sex or masturbating way too often (say, more than three times a week). You end up depleted because ejaculate is loaded with zinc!

Man, I’ve been wondering—that article didn't even mention this part.

Ever since I can remember, I've had these little white clouds on my nails. Just tiny white spots. Honestly, I've gotten used to them and wouldn't even bother changing anything...

But does anyone actually know why I have them while everyone else doesn't?

Some people told me it's a vitamin deficiency or whatever. But my health is solid. I take care of myself, hit the gym constantly, and eat clean....

😛

It's definitely a zinc deficiency, 100%. I used to have them too, and once I started taking supplements, they cleared up in maybe a month or so. Just go to a CVS or Walgreens and ask for something—I can't recall the exact name, but they'll know what you mean when you show them your nails.😉

So, I don't want to look like a hypochondriac showing up at my doctor's office asking for advice, though maybe I am overthinking this. 😁I
It’s never happened before, but today I noticed my nails have turned yellow with a white crescent shape. It wasn't like this before, but I was stripping off some pale pink polish just now, so I can't tell if I actually need to see a doctor or if it's just staining from the polish.
The thing is, I dealt with Hepatitis B back in the day—caught it while undergoing chemo for a malignant tumor—and during my last checkup, my specialist told me to get some hepatitis markers checked.
First thing I did was check my eyes, but they aren't yellow 😁, but I honestly don't know enough to say if those symptoms show up at the same time as nail changes or if it's a gradual thing. Or maybe it really is just the polish leaving marks, even though I've used it before without any issues... 🤷🤷
And I can't wait until Tuesday to see my doctor..
