Wounds and their aftermath

Had a bit of an accident early this morning 😢
During approach with a woman, I felt a sharp sting... pulled it out and saw blood... right where the skin meets the shaft, a little wound opened up... it hasn't dried over since yesterday... still wet and there's a bit of blood on top...
I definitely didn't tell my wife about this... I'm thinking about pulling the skin tight and taping it down a bit lower so it stays put, then maybe covering it with a gauze pad or at least some cotton...
Basically, I have no clue what to do 😢 and now I can't even pull the skin down... probably because of the clotted blood... should I soak it in warm water to get the clot to loosen up 😕

My suggestion would be to disinfect the cut with something... I don't have much experience here, but hopefully the guys can weigh in with some better advice. Just whatever you do, don't use cotton balls because they're going to stick to the wound once it starts bleeding...

Applying some disinfectant to the waste... just put a drop of water on top, touched it lightly with my finger... man, it burned like crazy... ouch...
Can it actually heal up more generally... regenerate... will it ever go back to how it was, or is it just gone for good? 😲

It’s not actually that strange... he just has a slightly shorter foreskin and basically "overworked" the tissue until it tore.

That kind of thing is notoriously slow to heal, much like those cracks you get in your lips.

If this keeps happening, you're going to have to consider a surgical fix. It isn't a full circumcision, but doctors recommend it when the foreskin is too tight... skin tears in that area are never something to take lightly.

You should try Neosporin, I think that's the one, and apparently it doesn't sting. You definitely need to put something on it, though. It doesn't have to be alcohol or iodine—just head to a drugstore and ask for something that won't burn...

You could even go with 3% hydrogen peroxide; it’ll foam right up on the wound site and speed up the healing process.

It's actually what they use on babies for umbilical cord care.

I don't have any hydrogen peroxide at home... and I definitely don't have the cash for that ointment 🙂
Does anyone have a MacGyver fix? Something using stuff you'd actually find around the house...
Or should I just leave it alone for ten days and pray for the best 🙂

And there is absolutely NO way I'm going under the knife. No way. 😲 😢

Just hang in there until tomorrow morning and ask the pharmacist at CVS for some hydrogen peroxide or something similar. If you can manage to leave it alone for ten days, you might get lucky and have it clear up on its own, but honestly? There's a much higher chance it gets infected, and then you're looking at a massive headache...

Listen girls, the glans is basically mucous membrane—it's incredibly sensitive and vulnerable. Please, I'm begging you, stop sharing advice like this. You definitely shouldn't be recommending that some guy just pours hydrogen on himself at home!!!

My advice? Just go see a doctor tomorrow and have them take a look. Don't mess around with stuff like this!

I find it pretty pointless to tell people to go see a doctor... I mean, obviously they know that...🙄

In short, a tight foreskin can cause significant issues during intercourse. If you're dealing with recurring tears in that area, it’s definitely not nothing to ignore. It’s actually a form of phimosis that can be permanently fixed with a simple procedure... and then life just goes on 😉

So, I found some hydrogen peroxide H2O2 lying around the house yesterday... you know, the stuff... I put some on a Q-tip, gave it a squeeze, and then 😱 ....just wanted to see if it would sting 🙂
I checked it just now... nothing red... looks normal color... so that's that...
Ran into a buddy who had skin irritation from overdoing it... told me it cleared up in a week... man, friends... 😁

Look, we're talking about 3% hydrogen peroxide here, which is what you use to clean wounds. It’s not like it’s gonna kill you.
My grandma was stuck in the hospital for three weeks and ended up getting this massive pressure sore on her backside—just a huge, gaping wound. It took an entire year to finally heal up, even after she was using hydrogen peroxide every single day along with a bunch of other crappy antibiotic creams and whatnot.

I mean, nobody is out here pouring straight 100% peroxide on themselves; this 3% stuff is basically just water.

And you, rapidbadger45, just stick to your Q-tips and stop messing with your wound like that.
Just drip the hydrogen peroxide directly onto it, drop by drop.

He probably watered his weeds with a 12% solution 🙄

So, I took a bit of a spill off my bike yesterday—well, more accurately, I swerved hard to avoid some idiot in a car who was barreling toward me, and ended up hitting the pavement. Now, the left side of my face is all scraped up; it honestly looks more like a burn than a scrape at this point. What should I be using to treat this? I’m at a loss for what to put on it—Band-Aids are useless since the wound is way larger than any standard bandage, so I might just have to settle for some sterile gauze if I can find any.

Don't bother with the gauze; you're better off letting the wound air out. It’ll heal faster and the scab will come off easier if you let it breathe. You could try applying some St. John's Wort oil or even some lavender oil; those are excellent for skin irritations, burns, or even just sun damage...
