I sat through the third one and honestly, I'm done with the whole franchise... I couldn't tell you if the fourth one manages to be worse than the second, nor do I care to find out, but I know for a fact that the second one was the absolute bottom of the barrel...

In my estimation, the *Aliens* franchise stands as a remarkably solid collection of films when viewed as a whole. To be perfectly candid, the first two installments are nothing short of masterpieces—truly among the finest examples of science fiction ever put to celluloid, especially considering they were produced during that golden era spanning the late seventies and early eighties. However, if I am being honest, the final two entries in the series don't quite hold up to that same standard; they are somewhat lesser works in comparison.

But in all seriousness, regarding the third installment, I’d rank it right after the original because it manages to capture that specific atmosphere and narrative tension better than most, plus, in my opinion, it features the best designed extraterrestrial of them all...👍

The third movie is solid, and you could almost view it as a sort of remake of the first one, though that’s exactly why it loses some of its sense of originality. To be honest, the design of the extraterrestrial didn't blow me away; I personally preferred those massive warriors from the first two films—that hybrid dog kind of vibe.

To me, "Event Horizon" is easily the absolute worst one out there, at least among the ones I’ve actually sat through. They marketed it as this big sci-fi epic, which is exactly why I went to see it, but it turned out to be nothing more than a horror flick—and a terrible one at that. Just awful!

Just pure horror, honestly...

Without overthinking it, Aliens is the peak of sci-fi....
The marines, possessing an IQ somewhere near the freezing point of water, fit perfectly with their "shoot anything that moves" tactical approach. Part four was just a cash grab... honestly, part two is the only sequel that actually surpasses the original (though I suppose the Godfather holds its own, but let’s not get pedantic 🙂 )

Rumors have been swirling for quite some time now about a potential alien vs predator production
The plot isn't even worth much attention: the Predator is heading to the extraterrestrial's home planet to hunt, but the marines show up looking for the extraterrestrials too, resulting in total chaos... if this movie actually happens, it will either be a complete disaster or a genuine masterpiece... I might suggest James Cameron for the director's chair; he’s already proven himself in that arena... 👍

If I were calling the shots, I’d hand the director's baton straight to Ed Wood.
Furthermore, this simply isn't worthy of 😬

It really depends on how you define sci-fi, doesn't it?
Personally, I think the absolute worst would be that Postman flick starring Kevin Costner, but if we aren't counting that as actual sci-fi, then I’m voting for Star Trek: Insurrection.

Event Horizon😉 — I actually thought it was quite good. The movie is a total trip, if you know what I mean😁.
It isn't pure Sci-Fi, more like horror, but that doesn't mean it lacks quality. You've reminded me—I think I'll go rewatch it today.👍

There are plenty of contenders for the "worst ever" title, like Star Wars 1 and 2 or even that last Star Trek: Nemesis👎 , but they all pale in comparison to Battlefield Earth🙂. It's unbelievable how such a piece of trash can be made from such an excellent book.
