Jim Carrey was incredibly grating with all those facial expressions he kept making.
The slapstick stuff wasn't even funny to me; it just felt forced and mindless.
And don't even get me started on the movie's message—give me a break!
The only thing remotely interesting was the whole bit about sending prayers via email.

Before my friends literally dragged me to the theater, I already knew this movie was going to be a bust just seeing Jim Carrey in the lead role. It’s such an interesting concept—they could have actually done something with it instead of turning it into some mindless American comedy. Honestly, if this had been made by a studio in London or somewhere else, it might have actually been good.

Cast review:
Jim Carrey - Just your typical guy who didn't bother with school, acting like a total jerk for laughs, which is why they call him a comedian and hand him all this cash. It's his standard routine... honestly, it stinks.
Jennifer Aniston - Well, she had a pretty mindless role, but hey, she played it well enough, I guess.
Morgan Freeman - He played God perfectly fine, but unlike Carrey, Freeman always delivers, so there's really no surprise there. And yeah, I totally agree that Walken should've been cast as the Devil. Have you guys seen him in Prophecy?

It’s absolutely top-tier.
He is genuinely exceptional in any villainous role—whether you look at his work in the Blues, Batman 2, or True Romance. The man is an absolute legend. 🙂

It was a fun watch—honestly more entertaining than Johnny English, though I feel like both movies just end up riding on the charisma of Jim / Rowan. Still, I had a great time!👍

The movie was actually pretty decent—a solid pick if you just want to laugh and unwind. It didn't even lean too hard into being overly dramatic 👍

If you ask me, the movie is incredibly well-constructed and spiritually grounded, all while being brilliantly wrapped in comedy. Honestly, it's one of the best films I've ever seen.

I’m really not a fan of movies centered around God or those that try to push faith on the audience. If you believe, cool—if you don't, that's fine too. It should be a totally personal choice. While the movie does have some classic Jim Carrey antics, everything falls flat at the end when he suddenly realizes God exists and starts believing just because his girlfriend asked him to. It felt unnecessary, pointless, and honestly pretty disappointing...

Good movie, fun, definitely more fun than Johnny English, but both are basically just cash grabs for the lead actors (Jim / Rowan).

If movies are just vehicles for the leads, then Rowan would be scrubbing floors under that wannabe comedian. Still, the guy is Black Swan.

I honestly thought the movie was wonderful; I found myself laughing along quite heartily. Isn't it just refreshing when a film isn't afraid to lean into those hilarious, unexpected blunders? 👍
