I mean, it's such an odd color choice... for a men's football team. Then again, pink isn't inherently "feminine." That's just some outdated, forced way of thinking—like how people act about blue being a "man's color" or whatever. Just nonsense.

Not totally sure, but honestly, I don't think there's some deep backstory. It feels more like once their current kit supplier took over, they just rolled out this combo because it sold well enough.

image

Then they figured they'd lean into it a bit more with that pink shade, and boom, here we are.

Then they decided to spice things up a bit with that pink shade, and well, there you have it.

Look, it’s a solid combination, but that pure pink version? It’s an absolute disaster.🤣

Exactly. That first one is solid, but the second one really catches my eye because it’s just so different from anything else out there. Nobody does pink except maybe Palermo, though even they don't use this specific shade. This one is a loud, obnoxious pink... they were definitely trying to be controversial. But if you look at the sales figures, pink isn't making any waves in the Everton kit lineup this year. At the end of the day, football is still a man's game—mostly, anyway—and since that color hasn't quite landed with the male demographic for whatever reason, it’s pretty obvious it might be a bit "too soon" for this kind of marketing move... 😁I can only imagine the kind of comments people would drop if someone actually tried to push this through...

..moving on... Lyon just dropped their new kit:

Personally, I think it's great.

..and apparently, they're calling it Mexican white:

It’s a pretty wild color choice for a men’s football squad. Then again, calling pink "feminine" is just an outdated stereotype. It's like saying women shouldn't wear blue because it's a "man's color." Totally arbitrary.

No legend here, just facts:🙂

That solid pink look with the thick navy stripe across the front is actually what Everton rocked back in the 1890/91 season—yeah, the 1800s—when the Toffees snagged their very first league title. That bright pink definitely makes it easy for the players to spot their teammates sprinting down the pitch!

You're right, I picked this one up too. It's actually killer in person, but man, that ad is just painful to look at... 🙂

This jersey feels a bit too much like a Russian kit, at least compared to the old model they had before this one... and from what I’ve read, the fans aren't exactly thrilled because it strays from the traditional colors (assuming they stick to the classics for the away kits). It reminds me of how PSG fans were up in arms when they introduced a red kit as the primary option, pushing the classic blue, red, and blue combo down to the away lineup. But hey, that's just for this season; the standard look will be back at Prince Park soon enough...

As for the Juventus situation, legend has it they started with pink jerseys, but they ended up looking white after a bad wash cycle, so they basically borrowed the black-and-white stripes from Turin and "borrowed" them for their big rivals...

I actually had no idea about the Everton thing. So, I guess pink is the color of champions then...🙂

Barcelona actually took their color scheme from Basel...

Atletico Madrid modeled their kits after their founders, Athletic Bilbao, who in turn lifted the look from Sunderland. Apparently, some guy just hauled them over to Bilbao after buying that exact combination at the docks in Sunderland while he was waiting for his ship to head out...

According to reports appearing in Friday's papers, Liverpool has finalized a kit sponsorship agreement valued at £25 million annually with the Boston-based company Warrior Sports.

Warrior Sports, which operates as a subsidiary of New Balance, is slated to succeed adidas starting with the 2012-13 season. This partnership is anticipated to be a long-standing arrangement, one that effectively eclipses the value of Nike’s contract with Manchester United, which stands at £23.5 million.

This development serves as a significant setback for the club's current kit manufacturer, particularly given that the Liverpool jersey is currently the fourth most popular replica shirt on the planet.

With annual sales reaching approximately 900,000 units, the club's reach is surpassed only by their local rivals United, as well as the Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Regarding the financial strategy, Liverpool owner John W. Henry statement emphasized that the club intends to operate strictly within the revenue it generates. Given that Champions League football remains at least another season out of reach, this influx of guaranteed funding should significantly strengthen the club's position and influence within the transfer market.

In the United States, Warrior Sports is considered a major force, having built its reputation primarily through deep associations with ice hockey and lacrosse.

The organization, founded by David Morrow description, was acquired by New Balance back in 2004.

Since then, the brand has successfully transitioned from a specialized niche player into a massive commercial entity, large enough to secure a multi-year deal with baseball icons the Red Sox.

Driven by an aggressive expansion strategy, the company has ramped up its roster of athlete sponsorships, leveraging global sales totaling £1 billion to facilitate this strategic leap into the world of football.

What is happening here? Is it The Star-Spangled Banner instead of YNWA? 🙂🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I wouldn't go out on a limb here, but I suspect all these Liverpool assets might be sold off before the Americans fully take over—since nobody really knows how they'll handle things. It could be great, I suppose... though I have my doubts. These American owners tend to work like old-school contractors—one shows up, finishes one job, then a second one jumps in—and I fear this could turn into a long-term headache for Liverpool.

Liverpool has officially inked a kit deal with some damn Americans based out of Boston. Apparently, Warrior Sports is going to be the brand behind the jerseys.
Cool. Just so we're clear, the offers Liverpool made back home were pathetic, and now things are just getting even more bottom-of-the-barrel.
I was actually starting to think these Americans might have some sense, but turns out it's the exact same garbage as hockey or Gillette.

Thanks, but no thanks. ☕

What's everyone's problem? Why the immediate hostility? Look, I’d much rather deal with an established, household-name corporation myself, but honestly, these guys might actually pull it off and be just as good. 🤷

It looks like Liverpool has gone ahead and inked a deal for their kits with some damn Americans from Boston, specifically through Warrior Sports. Apparently, the brand on the jerseys is going to be Warrior. Isn't it wild how the landscape shifts? One minute you're looking at one thing, and the next, everything changes.
It’s honestly kind of funny when you think about it, because back when Liverpool was looking to make their move here in America, the offers they put on the table were absolutely pathetic, weren't they? But now? Now things are actually starting to look truly miserable.
I honestly thought Americans were actually supposed to be the smart ones in this scenario, you know? Like, I really had this idea that we were ahead of the curve, but then it turns out we’re just falling for the exact same nonsense they pulled with Gillette and Hik—it's almost funny how predictable it all becomes when you look at it from a distance, isn't it?

They actually went ahead and signed the most massive, lucrative kit deal in the history of football—we’re talking $25 million per season—yet he still insists that this whole thing is a dud, claiming that in the US, it’ll just result in a measly offer. Is he seriously suggesting that such a monumental windfall wouldn't shake things up?

Well, here we go, just one of those things, isn't it? 🙏 I suppose we’re diving into the heavy stuff now, aren't we? For all the hard work and everything we put on the line, it feels like we're just staring at the same old hurdles, doesn't it? Is there actually a point to the grind when the outcome remains so stubbornly out of reach?

😂

All they need is a Spider-Man commercial at the front and this officially becomes the worst Atletico jersey I've ever laid eyes on...🤦

I don't know about you guys, but if you ask me, this jersey looks completely overdesigned! 😲

I don't know what it is, but there's something about this that just reminds me of those MLS jersey designs. 🤣

MLS jerseys are actually pretty sick. Why is everyone hating?

I’ve got the Houston Dynamo and San Jose ones—picked them up a few seasons back, right around when SJ moved over to Houston. Then later, I grabbed the SJ gear again once they were back in action. Thinking about ordering the Portland one next. Honestly, I just love that club because their fans are incredible.
