Sinusoscopy

I need to go in for a sinus endoscopy because of these constant inflammations and polyps. I’m honestly pretty nervous, especially since my doctor mentioned they’ll be doing it under local anesthesia.
If anyone has been through this, please walk me through the process! How long is the hospital stay? She told me five to seven days, but since I live right near the hospital, I could probably just stay for three nights—though even that feels like way too long to me...

Does anyone here have experience going under the knife for a sinus cleaning? I’ve heard they supposedly do it under local anesthesia—which sounds fine, I suppose—but I’m really trying to wrap my head around the whole ordeal. Does it actually hurt? How long am I looking at staying in the hospital, and what’s the recovery timeline like? Just trying to get a feel for the whole process before I dive in.

I have the exact same question, though I’m really hoping someone can actually give me an answer this time. Basically, I have two small mucoceles (cysts) in my right maxillary sinus. My doctor tried treating them with antibiotics first—he was hoping they weren't actually mucoceles—so I spent two months on them. After finishing the course, I went back for a follow-up X-ray, and the cysts are still right where they were. The only thing the meds actually did was help with the pain (thank God for that, because the pain was brutal). Now, my doctor is recommending a CT scan, but he told me there's no rush and I could wait another two or three months. To be honest, the idea of leaving this sitting there for that long scares me, so I keep asking about removal options. I've heard about something called sinus endoscopy—could that actually help? Hmm... 🙄
