What have we learned from movies?

In those big Hollywood action movies, you always get the same setup—the protagonist is this brooding, mysterious type carrying some deep, unspoken trauma, while his commanding officer is inevitably just a total jerk 😁

Seriously, what was the author even thinking when they wrote this? What was the publisher smoking when they greenlit it? What was going through the director's head during filming? And what on earth were the younger generations doing, actually sitting through this crap? Hell, what happened to the older folks who wasted their time on it too? I mean, what was driving Dakota to act in this absolute garbage just so I'm forced to watch a sequel? I don't know, man. It’s just frustrating.

All I've managed to learn from all this is that it's all just an act—totally staged. You really shouldn't mistake a performance for real life.

I've learned that you should basically always do the exact opposite of what movie characters do if you want to actually survive. Like, for instance—NEVER go check out that weird creaking sound coming from the basement, the garage, the attic, or somewhere deep in the woods. 🙂
Always make sure the doors and windows are locked tight. Keep your phone charged at all times. Don't let random strangers into your house or car. And maybe... don't just leave massive kitchen knives or axes lying around everywhere.

By watching films, I’ve seen places I will likely never visit in person. I’ve realized what people are truly capable of, seen how fashion changed through different eras, and learned about various customs and human traits—all while sitting right here in front of a screen.
