I think these charts look fine to me.

I’d take those numbers with a massive grain of salt.

Water-soluble vitamins are incredibly unstable compared to other nutrients. For a chart like this to actually mean anything, you’d have to specify the exact type of potato used (because let's face it, nutrient density varies wildly between varieties) and—this is probably the most critical part—exactly when those measurements were taken. Was it raw? And if so, was it tested right after harvest, or after sitting in storage for a week? Because if it sat around for a few days, how was it stored? Or was it measured after being cooked?

Honestly, there's zero point in providing data on a raw ingredient that you can't even eat raw in the first place.

Personally, I think these kinds of charts are extremely unreliable... and I'm pretty sure anyone with even a basic understanding of measurement science would agree with me.

2. And—perhaps most importantly— at what specific stage were these measurements taken? Are we talking about raw potatoes? If so, was that immediately after harvest, or after they sat in storage for a few days? Because if they've been sitting around, the profile changes. Or are we looking at processed data?

3. Personally, I think providing data for a raw food that isn't even safe to eat raw is pretty pointless.

4. To be blunt, I find charts like these incredibly unreliable. Honestly, anyone with even a basic grasp of measurement standards would probably agree with me.

It really depends on what you intend to use the table for. If it’s just meant to be a rough guide, it serves a purpose:

1. I don't see why it's strictly necessary. They list an average amount per mass. My guess is that the variation in concentration across different potato varieties falls within a standard deviation.

2. Now, that second point would be useful and interesting. I assume the measurement process was standardized, but it would certainly be better if the protocol was explicitly stated. There has to be a set timeframe involved so that all these tables can actually be compared against one another.

3. I think that's a handy piece of info because it helps people compare how different preparation methods affect nutrient concentration. It’s not mandatory, though, I'll give you that.

4. Look, I’m constantly measuring things myself. 🙂
This is a layman's table. You can't publish something like this and call it "scientific," but it still has its uses. If you added a few more details—like the specific protocol, the number of samples, the standard deviation, etc.—it would definitely be more reliable.

Thanks for all the input on those creams, everyone. You guys pretty much confirmed exactly what I was thinking. 😉

So, if we're skipping the creams, what’s actually worth doing—at least as a preventative measure? 😕

Whatever works best for you 🙂 even if you just grab it from CVS. Don't sweat it; your skin will either thank you immediately or start acting up.

What do you mean, "even if it's from DM"? 😕 😁

Dude, DM is basically my main supplier! 😉 😁 😁

I was thinking about that Bale collection of theirs; it’s top-tier and incredibly budget-friendly... that's what happens when you don't blow your entire budget on flashy commercials and overpriced packaging.😉

I know exactly what you were getting at 😉 so don't even sweat it. Remember when I suggested that to you back on the old forum—you know, on your own thread over on Reddit? 🙂

The absolute best way to prevent damage is just staying out of the sun as much as possible and sticking to a solid sunscreen with a high SPF... And don't even get me started on smoking—it’s incredibly brutal on your skin.

👍 Honestly—👍 👍 though,
I mean, it’s pretty obvious if you think about it.

Anyway, thanks a million! 🙂

My skin looks fine, and my wallet is safe! They just released a gel-cream for the eye area, too—it’s fantastic and makes makeup sit perfectly on top.

Have you guys checked out that other DM brand? Alverde? I actually think it's pretty decent—I’ve been using their wild rose shower gel lately and man, does it smell amazing. Haven't tried any of their creams yet though. Still 😁

Does anyone know where I can actually track down some 20 mg Coenzyme Q10?
I've been scouring the web, but honestly, it’s all high-dose stuff—like 100 mg or more—and I really need to find this specific 20 mg strength.

Bumping this old thread 🙂
Is anyone actually using this? Any real experiences?
I've been dealing with mitral valve prolapse—it triggers symptoms whenever I'm stressed, and frankly, some days it’s just unbearable. My doctor suggested trying Coenzyme Q10 to help manage things. However, there is almost zero discussion about this on most health forums; it’s surprisingly obscure... I even went down to my local CVS, and the pharmacist didn't have a clue which one to recommend. I ended up picking up a brand from NutriLAB. According to the label, each capsule contains 30 mg of Coenzyme Q10.

Anyone else actually drinking this stuff?
I was watching this documentary earlier claiming it’s like, super essential for you...
