Poor circulation" (vague term) - Megathread

Hey, I'm 62 and my diabetes is pretty much under control, but man, this numbness in both feet is killing me... plus my legs always feel freezing. I've tried everything—soaking in different baths, rubbing on creams and gels, even swallowing all kinds of Ginkgo supplements. Nothing works. From what I gather, you can't just find something like Penthal here on the market, though I know some folks back home used to swear by it when it was actually available there. Does anyone know how one might go about getting a medication like that? Or does anyone have any actual experience with it? mira

Honestly, looking at what you're describing, I'm not entirely sure if Pentoxifylline is going to be the magic bullet that makes a massive difference for you.
If your doctor gives you the green light and there aren't any contraindications, it might be worth giving it a shot for maybe 4 to 6 weeks—if it works, then awesome.
But if you don't see any real change by then, it probably isn't worth sticking with it.

Thanks for the tip, definitely worth a shot... I mean, what's a few more weeks? It's not like my body's gonna get any more toxic in 4-6 weeks than it already is anyway...

Lately, my circulation has been totally trashed. Like, I’ll be wearing heavy wool socks and lined boots, and my feet are still freezing. Right now, I’ve got thick socks and thermal leggings on, sitting right next to the heater, and yet—boom—ice cold feet. 😕 😢

Seriously, the other day my feet were so numbly cold that the only thing that actually helped was jumping in the shower and doing those hot-to-cold water cycles just to get some blood moving again. 😢

I’m starting this thread because of that one graphic photo on cigarette packs showing foot gangrene. I don't know how much coverage that actually gets or if people even talk about it—but have you guys ever really thought about it? Especially those of you who smoke and constantly deal with cold feet.
