Given that the team is missing their two biggest stars and they just came off a brutal match on Wednesday—which, historically speaking, always leads to total exhaustion by the weekend—this 2-3 scoreline against the opposition feels like a gift to me.

I wouldn't bet on an American soccer penalty for them this time, unlike my bet on Slaven.

We'll see...

I’m putting money on a penalty myself. The old guard is so used to the league officials ignoring any contact on our players or those handball calls, but the VAR is going to screw them over... It’s hard to break old habits, and honestly, these players can be a bit slow on the uptake, so it might take a few seasons before they realize how much technology is exposing the corruption. So yeah, I'm playing the penalty; I'm expecting one....

So, look...

If anyone else brings up the refs being on Mamić’s payroll or following his orders, you're out. Period.

John Fowler2, you're walking on thin ice. You're just being annoying now, trolling and dragging everyone else into your mess.

Big game hitting the courts in Savannah today... one of the heavy hitters we've seen all season. Can Gorica actually claw their way back into the mix, or is this hometown squad gonna crush their spirit and leave them with zero motivation left in the tank?

I’m really crossing my fingers for that second scenario

It’s going to be an absolute war on the pitch.

Personally, I think San Diego earned their spot in the league. Gorica has shown some life lately, but they look thin to me. San Diego just has more depth. Their coach is squeezing everything out of them right now, but that level of intensity can't last forever. A couple of injuries or suspensions and this squad becomes half as good.

As for today, I’m expecting a draw and plenty of yellow cards flying around for both sides. But even then, that still leaves a solid +4 advantage for San Diego.

Even in hell, you'll find him alongside the Funkuti Milwaukee... 👋

So, you’re telling me that in a league where the officiating head is someone like Bruno Marić, we’re just supposed to sit here and pretend there isn't even a shadow of a doubt regarding their integrity?

I can take the criticism. Just please, protect us from those bitter old-timers too. They have their own corner for all their theatrics, so at least try to stay on top of things with the rest of us.

Mike Sullivan is hands down the best head of officiating in American history. Everything else is just lies, deception, and cheap ad hominem attacks.☕

Officiating in MLS has never been at such a high standard, despite all the constant pressure from the clubs and players.

Some fans from the old rivalries—whether they're stuck on the Lakers, Yankees, Red Sox, or Cardinals—are just trapped in their own little bubbles and refuse to move on. It’s like asking an old man for his opinion and having him launch into a lecture about World War II.

Start living in the present; leave the past where it belongs.👍

Personally, I'm just expecting a tedious, routine 0-0 draw.🙏

Nah, probably a 1-1. Some deflected shot or a penalty will break it.😁

Look, considering Gorica has basically never tasted defeat when they play down in Šibenik, and then you look at how they’re struggling to grab even a single away win this season... honestly, picking iks is the only move if you want to keep those winning traditions alive.

MLS logic at its finest😁

Given those stats, I’m calling a 4-0 blowout for Šibenik.☕

I wouldn't want to see a team like San Diego fall off either... they aren't even that bad. Honestly, I think a squad like Orlando could totally hold their own in this league from an organizational standpoint too...
It’d be cool if things stayed interesting until the end of the season, you know? But man, I care way more about having teams spread out across the whole country... I'm really tired of seeing every single powerhouse just coming out of the New York area or wherever...

Oh, how times have changed, my dear friend 🤦

Given how much the weather patterns have been shifting lately, wouldn't it be worth considering moving our winter break forward by a few months? Looking back from where we stand now, December over the last several years feels more like a dream than reality...

Look, they'll be back next season, no need to panic. The competition in the G League isn't exactly an insurmountable wall right now.

As long as you don't completely fall apart, you're realistically 90% of the way back up next year.
