Istra really could have messed things up for themselves with that three-point gap. Instead, Osijek is sitting at +3 ahead of them and the VŽ crew, plus we’ve got the better head-to-head against the guys from Istra. Actually, looking at the stats, VŽ has the edge over Istra too—same points, same goal difference, but they scored more away. I think they still look at away goals here, so they aren't out of the running for Europe just yet, especially since Osijek has a brutal schedule left against Dinamo, Hajduk, Rijeka, and Šibenik.

For us in Osijek, a single point today would definitely help us sleep a little easier.

Come on, stop messing around.
Tomorrow, I’m just going to grab a nice breakfast, take a chill walk through nature by the coast... why are you guys even stressing over those people from San Diego? We're doing great here, while you're making things difficult for yourselves. Just worry about your own problems. 🙂

Did you catch that robbery?
First off, Hajduk goes on a total cleaning spree—three red cards in one go—basically kicking Livaja right out of the game at their home stadium. Then, just a few days later, they get lucky with some questionable penalty call that knocks Slaven out of the Cup and hands them a spot in the European quarterfinals. And don't even get me started on how they missed that blatant penalty for Gorica... or that sketchy penalty given to Istra during the Osijek match just to slow them down. Now we have this mess from last night...

It’s just unbelievable at this point. I swear, there isn't a single refereeing decision in Major League Soccer that hasn't somehow swung in favor of FC Cincinnati—it’s getting ridiculous. It feels like the league officials are out there in peak form, just picking favorites left and right...

The number of teams from the metro area could actually go up in the top tier, but looking at how things are shaking out, it might actually shrink in the second division. If Šibenik and Rudeš swap places, we lose one more club from the local circuit. As for the second tier, it’s pretty much a lock that Dragovoljac is going down. They could be replaced by a club from a tiny town of just 264 people—Zrinski Jurjevac.

With only four matches left, they and Sesvete are locked in a dead heat for promotion. Opatija, led by Tonči Kukoč Petrela (🤣), was in the mix too, but they've fallen behind. Zrinski currently sits one point ahead of Sesvete, and they face them on home turf in the final round. Their last meeting in Sesvete ended in a 0-0 draw.

If Zrinski manages to clinch their spot, they'll likely have to play their home games in Đakovo.

Wow, look at all this whining and crying coming from these martyrs out in the Southeast.
Quite a massive amount of frustration and resentment directed toward some irrelevant little club from the coast.

The Armada and that cursed HNS logo🤣

One of the most shameless thefts we've seen in this VAR era, though I suppose they believe "desperate times call for desperate measures."😍

Both yellows/reds were spot on, and that penalty was legit too.

Nothing, the Southern administration just has a particular grudge against us, so they project their biases...🙂

Maybe if you actually sat down and watched the entire game from start to finish, things would finally make sense to you...

I honestly don't get how this Zrinski outfit even operates. How can they be sitting this high up when the rules say you need four youth categories, and in a village that size, there's probably enough kids for one team max? I have no clue where they're pulling players from. 🤷

Ljubičić is a total fraud, both as a striker and as a playmaker ☕

Mierez looks fantastic today; he’s really channeling his absolute best season.

Between Dinamo playing today and Rijeka’s matchup in three weeks, we are officially looking at the final curtain call for the City Stadium.
It feels surreal to imagine Osijek playing their home games at some other venue. They don't carry that same heavy sense of sentimentality or that deep-rooted connection to a specific patch of dirt that we feel for Kantridu, or what the older Hajduk fans felt for the Old Stadium. But even then, I suspect there will be a profound sense of heartache for many of them when they finally pack up and head home after leaving Rijeka for the last time. After all, an entire era is coming to a close. You are permanently walking away from a place that every true supporter had every right to consider their second home—their sanctuary.

It wasn't a particularly great match, though Osijek did seem to find a bit of life once Thomas stepped onto the pitch.

So, who’s your pick: Mierez or Petković?

If you had to make an instant decision right now—the kind of split-second choice that jolts you awake at 3:00 AM—who would it be?

Impossible choice: Mierrez wants to but doesn't know how, while Petković knows how but just won't do it.

Typical Dinamo performance
Specifically that duo—Baturina and Šutalo.
Petković is just getting back into things after his injury, Baturina isn't even available, and then there's Špikić, who is predictably underwhelming when it actually matters in front of the goal.
The end result? A Dinamo offense that feels pretty lifeless and sterile.
On the defensive side, they're really struggling against Mierez—especially Šutalo, who just overcomplicates everything, even when he’s clearly got the situation under control.
