Is anyone else worried about summer break becoming a thing of the past?

I was just reading that extreme heat and wildfire smoke are actually making it dangerous for kids to be outside during the summer. It feels like we're losing that whole "run around in the backyard" part of childhood because the weather is getting so intense. Are you guys seeing this in your neck of the woods too?
