Is Zohran Mamdani's suit thing a power move or just weird?

I just saw that story about the NYC mayor wearing a full suit to play soccer and go swimming. It feels like such a strange way to try and make a statement about professionalism. Do you think people actually take him more seriously because of it, or does it just look ridiculous?
