Taylor Farms trying to delay that recall?

I just read that Taylor Farms actually reached out to the White House to try and push back their recall announcement for that cyclospora outbreak. According to the former FDA head, that is definitely not how things are supposed to work. It feels like they were just trying to protect their bottom line while people were getting sick. Do you guys think companies should face even harsher penalties for trying to influence the timing of safety recalls?
