So, I’ve got these 3D glasses sitting around and I was wondering if there's actually any way to sit down and watch 3D movies on my PC using some kind of software.

Do you happen to own a monitor that actually supports 3D?
If the answer is no, then honestly, why even bother with such a futile endeavor?

So, I actually picked up this laptop just about six months ago. Does anyone know where I can go to double-check if it's actually got the chops to handle 3D stuff?

Neither one—if they actually came with a pair of glasses included, I might consider it.

You can definitely make that happen! Honestly, just grab those classic red-and-blue anaglyph glasses—you know, the ones where one lens is red and the other is blue—and download your movie in a standard format. Then, just fire up PowerDVD, toggle that 2D-to-3D conversion setting, and you're all set to enjoy the show! 🐔

Look, it’s not all doom and gloom. You can actually grab a 3D movie in SBS format, run it through VLC to switch it over to anaglyph, and just watch it on any regular screen using those old-school red and blue glasses.

There is software capable of converting any image, movie, or game into 3D,
if I recall correctly, it requires quite a bit of technical know-how...
Unfortunately, they don't just give it away; they want money, and I can't find a free version anywhere.
I have been searching for a year now.

For example, "Autodesk 3ds Max"
