Since we're already limiting the number of smileys, I guess it might also be a good idea to just completely disable the BBcode for coloring posts... I mean, this is a forum, not a preschool.

I'm all for it. Honestly, it drives me nuts when someone drops a single sentence and then litters it with ten emojis, but most people don't actually do that. For any decent-sized post, ten emojis feels like a total undersell, especially if you're quoting someone.

I mean, I don't think you can even drop a poll if you've lost the ability to edit your original post. If you can still edit the post though, you really should be able to add a poll too 🤔

Personally, I’d suggest you just start a whole new thread asking, "should we run a poll about increasing the number of smileys," because otherwise, nothing is ever going to happen here.

I’m a huge fan of using emojis—I definitely have my go-to favorites 😍—but honestly, I think bumping up the limit per post would be a massive help from a practical standpoint. When you start typing out longer posts, you easily end up hitting over 10 emojis, and then you’re stuck having to delete some just to make room for the ones you actually want to use 🙂
Even just moving the cap from 10 to 15 would be great. Let's make it happen! 🙂
