Personally, I don't think we need a massive influx of emoticons in every single post. A forum is meant for actual discussion, and while emoticons are great for adding a bit of flavor or showing how you feel, they shouldn't be drowning out the actual words—not in my book, anyway. Honestly, hitting ten emoticons per post is more than enough to get the point across.

Having way too many emojis can put a little extra strain on the servers, sure, but even then it's not a huge deal, and frankly, that’s not even my main reason for pushing back on this.

So, what happens when you try to quote two different posts—both of which already have a few emojis in them—and then you can't even add two or three of your own without the system completely nuking the emojis from the original quotes? Honestly, I think this might be the only legit forum I've ever come across that has such a ridiculous limitation on emojis 😁
But hey, I guess you guys know best. The server is already struggling so hard as it is—it’s basically on life support—so adding a couple more emojis would probably just finish it off and crash the whole thing anyway 😬

Hey, just a heads-up: maybe try stripping those smiley faces out of the quote or just write two separate posts. If what you're quoting isn't just a single sentence, I guess it's fine, but if it is, there’s really no need to dump twenty different emoticons into a two-sentence snippet. Plus, when you're quoting someone, you should really just focus on the specific part you're actually replying to, rather than grabbing the whole thing.

What I was actually getting at was that restricting emojis is just pointless—especially when people start editing someone else's posts and totally changing the vibe of what they meant—I wasn't asking you to give me a lecture on which specific emojis I need to delete or how to go about it 😬

By the way, I didn't realize you guys actually prefer and allow double-posting one right after the other.

Seriously, this restriction is just ridiculous and honestly kind of a joke. (I mean, I’ve never had this happen on any other US forum—usually, whenever I quote two posts to reply to them, I immediately get flagged for using too many emojis, and then I'm stuck having to go back and edit my quotes just so I don't accidentally mess up what someone else actually said)
Obviously, no forum is going to let you dump 50 or 100 emojis into a single post 🤣 but they shouldn't be capping us at a laughably low number like 10 per post either.
If you really want, I can shoot you a DM with some links, but it doesn't even matter 😁 because nothing is ever going to change here regardless of what the users want.🙂
