Hey everyone, I’ve been lurking on this forum for quite a while now, just reading through everything, and I finally decided to go ahead and sign up. I figured there might be some folks here who’ve dealt with similar stuff and could maybe point me in the right direction or offer a bit of advice... so, let's dive in

I’ve got a few things going on that make me feel like a total outlier compared to everyone else around me;
- That constant pale look in my face. It’s not an anemia thing—at least, wasn't when I had my blood work done about six months ago at a clinic near Chicago—and even though I have naturally fair skin and tan pretty easily, my face always looks sickly white
- Really heavy dark circles and puffiness under my eyes. Honestly, it doesn't matter if I pull two hours of sleep or a full twelve, they're always there, looking super prominent
- Excessive sweating. It’s everywhere—my face, my back, my stomach—but it’s especially bad under my arms. Like, way more than the average person I run into out in the world

I'm 21, a smoker, and I hit the gym once in a blue moon, nothing too crazy..

I'm totally open to any suggestions or thoughts you guys might have, so thanks in advance for the help 🤷

Sup! First off, not sure why you think you're "different," but let's break this down.
Regarding the pale face—since you had blood work done half a year ago, you're probably not anemic, but if it's just localized, maybe it's just poor circulation to that specific area?
Those dark circles? Could just be an aesthetic thing, but they can also point to health issues like thyroid problems...
As for the sweating, honestly, I don't see how you're "deviating" from the crowd—tons of people deal with this, especially during a hot American summer since it's how the body cools down. It could be anything, even just eating spicy food.
You can try grabbing a solid antiperspirant—assuming you haven't already—but some people are just built to sweat more and nothing really fixes it. Either way, you should definitely go see a doctor about all these symptoms; a forum is just a bunch of opinions and definitely isn't a substitute for actual medical advice.

When I say I'm "sticking out," I mean people are constantly asking me stuff like, "Man, why are you so pale? You okay?" and all that. And regarding the sweating, it happens even in the winter; while everyone else is freezing their heads off, my shirt is already soaked. I finally found some relief using a Vichy roll-on—it doesn't stop the sweat entirely, but it helps manage it pretty well...
Thanks for getting back to me. Regarding the circulation thing, it's definitely possible it's a bit sluggish. Do you happen to know any ways to improve blood flow? I've been scouring the internet but haven't stumbled onto anything concrete yet... cheers

No offense intended, and I'm being totally dead serious here: quit smoking—it’ll definitely help your circulation.

as for everything else you're feeling, I'd honestly suggest getting a full-blown checkup... you know, get your liver, kidneys, thyroid, all that stuff checked out. Things a basic blood panel might miss

Quit smoking? Man, I've tried a few times now, but it’s just so hard to stick with... like, when I'm studying, I feel like I need one just to stay focused... I'm always telling myself I'll cut back or maybe even go half the amount I do now, but I just can't seem to actually commit to it... 🙂

I did have some issues with my liver a couple of years back—my enzyme levels were way higher than they should've been—but after sticking to a super strict diet, everything leveled out. I still get them checked regularly just to be safe, and haven't had any trouble since.
Just so you know, I don't drink alcohol, or if I do, it's barely anything. I've never been much of a drinker...
