So, I was digging through some old threads to figure out how to get my avatar to the right size—you know, that endless rabbit hole of troubleshooting—and I finally decided to take a bit of advice. I went ahead and downloaded Irfan View from the web, picked out my photo, and used the "Resize/resample" option to shrink it down to about 44 pixels. Everything seemed fine on my end—the file properties show it’s sitting at around 6.58 KB, which should be well under that 10KB limit, right? I mean, if 10KB is the ceiling, I should be golden. But here's the kicker... every single time I try to upload it, I just get hit with an error message. Either it tells me "This is not a valid image file" or it just flat-out says "upload of image failed." It’s driving me nuts. I've tried everything, but it just won't work. Why does technology always decide to act up right when you think you've actually solved the problem? Any ideas?
