From what I know—and from some things I've picked up along the way—the rules don't actually forbid a woman from playing on a men's team. So, theoretically speaking, it's totally possible! Now, whether anyone actually does it in practice...

Guti isn't exactly a saint; word is he was caught getting too close with his own sister. While there's plenty of room for doubt, the allegations are certainly unsettling enough to warrant suspicion.

Look, let's skip the debate over whether it's technically possible or not. I’m not talking about the pros; I’m talking about kids. In childhood, there isn't such a massive gap between boys and girls. Usually, when those girls who grew up playing with the guys realize they can't keep up because of physical differences later on, they just quit. They could easily just transition to a girls' league instead...
Anyway, I know of two girls who have already joined our local club, so I was wondering if anyone else knows of any others? Thanks.

I heard the same thing—that the rules don't actually prohibit a woman from playing on a men's team. It seems I was acting on misinformation then.

It feels nonsensical to ban it. If a woman possesses sufficient skill, why stop her? I watched a few matches from the Women's World Cup on ESPN, and frankly, I see no reason why those players couldn't hold their own in the MLS, for instance.

From what I recall, girls are allowed to play alongside the boys until they hit about 14, right? Like, during the middle school years. I actually saw one girl playing against our youth team once, and man, she absolutely ran circles around them! She was playing so well that we couldn't help but tease our boys about getting schooled by her...

He’s been hiding out in the Dominican Republic for five years now, basically dodging the life sentence waiting for him back in Italy.😁

By the way, this guy managed to bring over the first (and only) Korean player to Serie A, the first Iranian, and even the son of a Libyan dictator. 🙏 Honestly, having a woman on the pitch almost sounds like a decent idea; I bet he would have gone through with it if things hadn't fallen apart. What a total clown.

Actually, Guti is female, and his "sister" is male...

Then again, maybe this is just one of those " family ties " 😉 things we see all the time.

Lol, this takes me back to a situation from maybe seven or eight years ago. I was still playing youth soccer for my local club, and we were up against some girl on the opposing team (honestly can't remember who specifically).

Anyway, for about six months after that game, we wouldn't stop messing with one of the guys, teasing him about how she totally stripped the ball right from him.🤣

Back when I was playing on the pioneers team, there was this one girl who played and coached alongside us. Of course, she ended up moving over to a women's club in Riverside pretty soon—I think it was called Jackpot. There were also two girls playing for the local high school team back during those pioneer years too. Beyond that, I'm not really sure if they stuck with it through the junior levels; honestly, I doubt they continued 😬

So, yeah, it’s definitely possible, but mostly at the younger ages. Like, maybe up until you hit 14 at the most. After that, if they're serious about pursuing it, they really have to transition into a women's club 👍

I think that one player who was playing for the Lakers was carrying her buddy at guard so hard during the start of the game that the coach actually pulled him out after just five minutes.😂🙏🙏
