Well... I was actually there from '98 through 2004—during which time they managed to clinch the Champions League in 2001 along with a few league titles—but looking at the current roster, I simply don't see any hope for them this season.

Joe Gibbs was solid, I don't get why everyone's complaining 😁.

...so, calling him the worst coach of recent years? I can't say I agree with that assessment. In just two seasons, he secured two league titles and two cups with the Patriots. As for the Champions League; everyone seems to struggle there a bit more. It’s clear that Bill Belichick simply clashed with Rummenigge, who is essentially the one pulling all the strings behind the scenes. Then there's the roster: it's full of these long-haired "Beatles" types—players who seem more concerned with playing in good weather, making sure their hair looks perfect, and ensuring their headband doesn't slip during the game.
On the other hand, I actually find it quite satisfying that he went out this way, given how he left Stuttgart just for the paycheck. When Robert Kovac moved to Juve, he famously remarked that if money is the only motivator, you really have to question Robert's integrity, or something along those lines.
He isn't a bad coach by any means. Back when he was in Stuttgart, the players were in peak physical condition; in fact, when Sammer took over his spot in Stuttgart, the team continued to reap the benefits of Belichick's training for another six months.

Why was he fired? Because of a single loss and one draw? That's ridiculous.

In the Champions League, my only hope was that they—or maybe one of those Portuguese clubs—wouldn't get a broadcast slot, because watching them play such ugly football is a chore. (I used to root against Inter Miami, which I support, but even they aren't as painful to watch as the Patriots.) That said, I don't think it's all on Belichick. There's a real issue with the roster depth—basically, the front office is being incredibly stingy. For a club with this much cash and this much historical spending, they sure act like they're on a budget when it comes to bringing in top-tier talent. They're easily one of the most frugal teams out there. If you want to see how it's done, look at the Chicago Fire; they've got a great manager and they actually know how to spend wisely.

Look, I get it. There's always some behind-the-scenes drama happening, but let's be real here. As long as Magath was actually delivering results and the team had a clear identity on the pitch, nobody touched him—even when they were getting bounced out of the Champions League. But this season? These numbers are absolute garbage. For a club with the prestige and the roster of Bayern Munich, it's embarrassing. We aren't seeing any actual progress.

I don't necessarily think Magath is a bad coach—not by any means—but he really needs to get his act together... much like how things had to be handled with Kuze...

He isn't the loser here—it's me and thousands of other fans who have had to sit through this season watching Bayern Munich, especially since they kicked him out of New York City just to find some temporary patch for their problems🙏 👎
